@WisDom357-nn2pd those choice of words were very ugly, disrespectful, and disgusting. If you don’t have any good or useful tips for this mother then maybe 🤔 you should stop trailing her page. Obviously you’re interested in whats going on in Mikko’s life!!!

Also a lot of parents of neurodivergent kids don't realize how many of their struggles are typical parenting struggles.... My firstborn is autistic and I hated going to groups for parents "like me" because I felt like they just harped on how much "harder" their kids was to parent than others to the point that it felt like omg your not the only parent that experiences this stop whining and complaining that's not even an autism thing lots of kids do that 🙄

The instant trust between Mikko & the mermaid was beautiful to see. My non-verbal autistic son is like that as well. He instantly knows good people, and I always get choked up when I see someone return his affection in kind because not everyone is so accepting. It looks like a wonderful outing even with all the effort & all your kiddos will remember what a good time they had. Go, mom!! 🥰

Gurl....when she (for her!) walk right up to the mermaid character.... My heart just stopped for a second or two! It was almost magical! They were so patient with Mikko, allowing her to choose the level of contact, put a TATTOO on and end the interaction on her own terms. Not many folks are exposed to neuro-atypical children, but they seemed to connect with Mikko at her !evel. How amazing! Loved both of their artistic tattoos! I understand your decision on gentle parenting. However,I've noticed several times when Mikkos' behavior could be very dangerous for her or you (attempting to dart off in the parking lot). Yes, she is always stopped and told no, but there is coddling afterward, which can be condoning for her. Does she receive the age level correction and consequences, letting her know the behavior is not appropriate? Thank you for sharing your journey. I also understand that we only get to see edited portions of experiences.

Great job parenting!!! Speak positivity out loud...Mikko enjoys homemade food, and she is adventurous in trying a bite at new places. The kids are discerning eaters and adventurous to try a bite of new foods. Positive talk will help carry them. I worked in an after-school care class for kindergartens at an elementary school. I would always say my kindergartens know the rules, they know how to walk in the hall, they know how to sit in the they know..my kindergartens are awesome. One little girl came and told me that they used too bad, but now they are a lot better. I told her thank you for knowing the rules and helping me with such a wonderful class. They still got trouble because they are kids and it's their job to be clocked in every day, but they all accepted the timeout time because I made them tell me the rule!!! Such smart cutie pies. Stay positive with your statements around the kidos.

Mikko was engaged in the activities to the best of her ability. She wasn't even afraid of the aquatic life, nor the princess and her stuffed friend. I loved the girls tatoos! That was so awesome that Mackenzie modeled how to do it and Mikko patiently fearlessly stood there and got her's. I would make this a regular family outing because everyone was engaged at their own level. Good job! ❤❤❤

Question: When you asked Mikko if she was done (eating her banana and oatmeal bar) and she said/sounded out "no", was that necessarily echoalia or did she process what you said? 🤔

I’ve noticed that Mikko knows who to pull these stunts on to get her way. When she’s with the mom she does whatever (pretty clever), when she’s with the dad she doesn’t do whatever. Mikko is not dumb as like any other child/children they only do what they know they can get away with and she knows who to do it with.

This is kinda a rude comment. The mom is doing her best with a difficult situation. I think she's doing a wonderful job. I had 4 and they would try the same stuff but it was the other way around. I was the one having to say no not my husband.

I think Mikko is very smart and she knows who to get away with things. Mom babying her might be making her settle. Definitely not meaning this in a bad way. Really think Mikko need to be pushed out of her comfort zone a little.mom has great great patience but in some cases is that what Mikko needs. She have issues the babying is not helping her work through and be stronger. She wanted that tattoo and she got it . Mikko is very smart keeping her in a bubble is not letting her grow.

@user-ce2ps2pl8g I know, you go out for 1 afternoon and nobody can get something to eat?? Bring her a lunch if that what she wants but please, let the older ones have a little fun!!🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Or maybe it’s mom, the type that doesn’t wanna spend a few bucks when they be out, who knows??🤷🏽‍♀️ That ain’t me!
