I wish ppl knew we're actually smarter than the majority. talking is overrated af... PS. it's normal for smart ppl to learn to write and read before we're talking. just saying. don't listen to researchers, we're little geniusses, neurotypicals simply lack neurons to understand how brilliant we are. PPS. get her a swing, she'll love it ^^

This is sad and beautiful and sweet. I have trouble understanding my baby sometimes too and I feel sad and I wonder what he feels when I don't understand. We try. I do know he knows for sure that I love him. ❤

I have 2 beautiful little girls with autism. I love Mikkos videos cuz i can relate her actions with our babies and we don't treat them any different but conscious to treat them with lots of love. They're actually our grandbabies!

My friends parents ignored the diagnosis of their daughters diagnosis at 2. They firmly believed (early 1980s) she would be taken away so they did nothing about it.

Autistic gal here who works with Autistic kids and adults. When it comes to sensory issues, like her crying out when you're trying to undo her hair, it helps to just walk away for a few minutes. It's often the difference between a meltdown or not. As for her speech, she'll get there. Focus on articulation for best results. But, you're doing great! Remember to evoke self care for yourself as well, mama!

Keep it going family! What a beautiful girl!! What a testimony you’re writing for this young lady! Kudos to you all! I work with autistic people of all ages. No two are alike even if they’re twins. You just keep patiently teaching her and all those around her! She will be one of those who are the exception and will thrive.
