Due to Covid, the researchers that ordinarily travel from around the world to One Tree Island were put on hold, meaning only the Island Managers are here & we were offered to opportunity to film the pristine protected Marine Research Island 📸🐠

I assume that you are permitted to One Tree Island because you're registered as an educational non-profit organization. While you might not be doing original research, you're showing other's research in a respectful and beautiful way. When you started out with Sylphia, I compared you to Jacques Cousteau, with his incredible films. It appears someone in charge of handing out these permits is seeing it the same way. Unlike a lot of other media people, you are respectful and don't try to frame everything in a way to maximize clicks.

Don't be concerned about the critics, the content certainly makes up for any imperfections and considering your resources, you do an amazing job and allow us to experience places even us sailors can only dream about visiting.

Yes Nerea, you Aitor, Nate have created an excellent platform that offers the people such as the number of gorgeous crew that have migrated too and from Sylfia the opportunity to further contribute toward the ongoing work of a Global effort in affecting positive change. The excitement of such an opportunity is truly fantastic. Your work and the archive of incredible Oceanic Marine biology in the form of brilliant photography is simply priceless. I through you guys often am reminded when I was onboard the RV Heraclitus in the mid 70s, we knew then how little was known and or understood in this field, and to think of the massive body of knowledge being realised today with very many thanks to people such as yourselves and your every contribution. Stay safe, rest well and maintain your high energies upon the high seas. Much love and respect to you all from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏🖖🙏🤟

Aitor's English and confidence - wow. What are some of the amazing discoveries from the 70's to present at your current location? Octopus, eagle, rays, killing/fertilizer tree, water/power/waste conservation, shallow water reef walk.

I just wanted to say something, and hopefully it doesn’t fall in deaf ears. The quality of your videos has really taken a nose dive lately. Not the actual footage, but the narration, storytelling, and especially the audio. Im not sure if you all are just cranking these out just to keep a weekly video going, but the quality and love that once was put into these videos has evaporated.

I can address at least one of these, the audio. We had a broken audio jack on our camera that sadly we didn’t notice until it was too late and we were at sea and couldn’t fix. We couldn’t use an external microphone due to this. It gets fixed but not for another couple videos :) Cheers for the feedback. Captain Nate

@@ExpeditionDrenched Thanks for the response. Not necessarily the wind noise, I completely understand it’s almost impossible to avoid that, but the audio levels in general. The music is much louder than the voice inserts. It’s jarring to go from loud music, to a low volume voice insert, back to music, and so on. I understand these videos are from a while ago and haven’t caught up yet to where you are presently, so hopefully they get to where they once were quality wise. You have an amazing channel, and I just hope it stays that way. Cheers.

What a beautiful experience you guys are blessed to have. I had to CC the episode to the mic in the wind. Hopefully you get that sorted out because the video content is spectacular. Every episode the wind noise is terrible. Thank goodness for closed caption!

Beautiful place. I've been noticing this speck on the lens of one of your cameras that you use quite often and wonder if it's a chip in the lens. Seems a shame not to get it fixed when you're producing video for your channel.

The only problem was when all the birds are screaming and you're talking into the camera. Next time you go to a nature reserve you might want to just throw something at the birds like a shoe, just to get them shut up whilst talk into the camera.

I have watched everyone of your videos and love your channel, but have to say that lately the audio and videos seem not up to your normal standards. Please get a better wind screen, direction and edit review. It seems like nobody is really reviewing before publishing and/or being prepared. Sorry, but I want you to keep up the standard that you once had. ☮💚🌹🌈
