Hey man nice hook! Don’t know if you have one or not but you might wanna look into a manual converter lock up box bunch of my friends use DHDs lock up box as well as me I’m a drag strip guy and I can say they work wonders on the strip make a huge difference my friends swear by them when pulling as well! Just a thought! love the videos man!

Yep I actually do have and use one myself. I run a Fleece Allilocker personally. For pulling I put the truck in towhaul, and the TCM is tuned to launch in 2nd gear. Towhaul locks the converter in high 2nd gear, and I use the lock up switch to unlock the converter manually when the sled hits at the end of the track. Use it for drag racing as well.

Nice! There have been a few up and down IL but most were cancelled, the latter half of the season looks like it'll be better.

How are you liking the new tuning on the street. I'm curious as I'm running a 03 lb7 w/ a RDS 64mm charger and the same tuning. Had to have them adjust the tuning once b/c it was lugging @ 55 in 5th bad.

I have been very happy with the tuning I have from CTT.

This may sound like a stupid question, so I’m sorry for my ignorance. Do you make the entire pull in 4wd or just to get it going and then switch to 2wd?
@FixedVaneDuramax4 жыл бұрын
No worries! The entire pull is in 4Low.

Four low witch gear I pulled high thrid an didn't do as good as expected but was worryied about to high of rpm
@FixedVaneDuramax4 жыл бұрын
I lock it into 3rd gear always. Truck doesn't make enough power to keep rpms up in 4th on most sleds.

@@FixedVaneDuramax how much boost you comeing off the line with I've been haveing a huge spool up issue but since I started in four low been doing much better thanks for the tips an love the Chanel

Generally I spool up until the truck pushing through the brakes, around 10-12 psi. If you're having spool up issues do a leak test on your charge system. I was fighting that last year especially in very hot weather. Did a boost test and found a massive leak at my Ybridge.

Do the Toyo proxies pull/handle better then running a all terrain tire?
@FixedVaneDuramax4 жыл бұрын
So obviously they aren't going to give you quite as good of traction as an all terrain. However, in lower hp situations, 4500-600hp,they get plenty of grip to be competitive. Obviously if the track is sloppy wet or made of sand that may be different but in my own experience they do really well overall. That being said, the difference between pullers may be down to a few inches, and in that case, I guarantee I've lost spots by running them. However, they are a bit of a safety for me. Generally if it comes down to either the tire slipping or something breaking, the Proxes will always slip. I'll take that bet every time and risk losing a place in the line up.
