Kind of amazing to me that THIS routine is someones introduction to Bill Burr. I mean its a great piece, but hes got a catalogue of more epic routines than this one I am shocked someone didnt tell you to watch first.

The interesting thing about soccer situation was how things were structured. It wasn't so much that mens made crazy money and everyone was rich. It was the exact opposite that they negotiated basically gutting everything to favor meritocracy. You don't play in a game you don't get paid. you don't get health benefits. Instead if you win playoffs and champions all the money was dumped into winning. So some players could make bank IF they won. While women's org did the exact opposite getting health, dental, paid time off vacation, etc. You still get paid if you don't play or just on practice squad. They spread out the money to be equal and fair. So by the end there wasn't much money to go around to become super rich like mens where only a handful became multimillionaires. Womens could have negotiated same structure as mens and ironically would have made more money because of winning ways but they prefer stability for everyone. What is left out is that men did have some health care and other benefits but they negotiated with their club to get this not the soccer org. That is main difference is women org is trying squeeze everything from one area when it simply didn't exist, when should have gone to their club not soccer org.

All I know is... If I sat there watching the WNBA or Womens Soccer, religiously... My wife would have way more issue with me watching "women" running and playing sport... then me watching men do the same. For some reason, wifes/girlfriends have issues with men watching other women do things. The screwed up thing about the soccer deal is the wpmen already had a far more valuable contract than the men. Sure, they weren't being paid as much actual cash per game, but their contract gave them a list of like 10-20 additional bonuses, things like paid healthcare and such, and they were guaranteed to be paid for a game whether they played or not. Men had to actually play a game if they wanted to be paid. Given that, I'm sure you can guess who _really_ got paid more during the height of the plandemic, when no games at all were allowed to be played.

I think the point that everyone keeps missing here is the soccer example is about national teams, but the WNBA is about clubs. Players play for their clubs as their main source of income, they get paid based on attendance, etc but when it comes to national teams, it's totally different. They often get match payments and a percentage of prize money, or whatever deal they negotiated. If you look at the results, the women's team has won multiple world cups and the men's team didn't even qualify for the 2018 world cup, which is why all this came up. So this is supposed to be split into two situations, national teams vs club competitions. Definitely the women's leagues need more support to generate more income but at tournaments like fifa world cups or Olympics, match payments should be the same especially as the women's soccer team is so much more successful than the men's team has ever been
