I thought it was like a responsobility for Americans to know who "the boss" is. He's like the most american person ever lol

Clarence Clemons was the sax player in Springsteen’s band for decades. He and Bruce were best friends, and they truly loved eachother. They would kiss eachother in every show.

Emily, there is no one that puts on a show better than The Boss, he's legendary for live shows, I have seen him over 15 times and never, never felt disappointed. I know you cant react to his "Light of Day..Live from NYC" but please do me and yourself a favor and watch it for yourself to see what I mean and this is 20 years on but he still delivers the goods. I would love you to do that and let me know what you think. Thanks..Love the way you got right into this video, great to see you enjoying yourself.

Pure joy. Bruce leaves it ALL on the stage! You need some more of his live stuff for real.

You'd also love his song Rosalita. A total roller coaster jam. As for a more mellow Bruce song, maybe try Brilliant Disguise.

Emily with reference to your comment at 7:47, the main footage was shot in broadcast standard and is from a US show, but all of the shots from the stage showing the crowds were not broadcast standard as they were only recorded for reference and taken from the European leg of the 1985 Born in the USA tour. You can see the difference in quality. I was the onstage cameraman for the European leg and can still remember which stadiums feature in each shot. Fantastic month on the road on stage for 15 shows.

Saw him at Leeds on that tour. What a show. From memory he was onstage for four hours and he never let up

Born in the USA will expose you to the best of his talent and passion - the lyrics are social commentary in his unique style.

Yep, back in the day, when the concerts would reach fever pitch and sweat was flowing, sometimes Bruce and Clarence would do a mouth soul kiss. Incredibly masculine, in my opinion, being able to just give in to the utter joy and energy of the moment and sharing it with your lifelong best friend like that. They had a connection that was just genuine magic. A decade apart in age, one enormous and the other tiny (yes he's buff but he's actually very short), and across race. Watch their super bowl performance from 2009...it opens with them back to back silhouetted....that image was probably one of the most iconic images in the history of rock and roll.

Great reaction. I was fortunate enough to see Bruce in the early 80's. Every show had this level of intensity.

Three and a half to four hours a night, every damned night and left it ALL on the stage every night. That was the legacy of Bruce and the E Street Band.

Bruce "the boss" Springsteen loved himself some Clarence "the big man" Clemons (the sax player). They had a true bro-mance. RIP Clarence 🌹 Bruce eventually married Patti (the girl in the band). Check out I'm On Fire and (my favorite) Hungry Heart 🎶🎵 Keep up the positivity 💚

I think I saw your reaction to him in We Are The World and you stopped everything and said "Who is That?" The Boss. That's who he is. He sings gritty ballads as well as amazing rock. Keep going !

I'm so happy to have this platform, so young people have an opportunity to be exposed to great, REAL, music. It's over, kids. The end of the century marks the end of the Golden Age of film, music and life, as in real life. This is in Billboards top 500 records, in the rock genre. I lived during the greatest time, and it is not lost on me. Great reaction.

I saw Springsteen about 5 years ago. So old Springsteen. So not as much energy and it was still the best most energetic concert I've ever been too. He fucking rode the audience. I mean, they crowd surfed his ass across the audience. He was fucking amazing.
