You're right about that!! This version of Dynamite is very iconic for its heavy influence from MJ 😊. In this version it was JHope who did the MJ hat trick and not Jung Kook. But JK also does MJ dance moves. Try checking their Butter performance at the 64th Grammy Awards.. They were nominated but they didn't win however they got a standing ovation for their outstanding performance.

Since you love choreography, “On Kinetic Manifesto” and “Run BTS” dance practice are musts! “Butter”. I’m not sure if you can react to any of their award’s performances or not, but there are some good “Butter” performances. There is also a dance break of the 3J’s (JHope, Jimin and Jung Kook) dancing to a part of”Butter”.

React to Permission to Dance performed at the United Nations building. Also, "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film" LIVE at Grand Central Station in NY on a Late Show. You might also enjoy a performance of MJ's Black and White by Jimin and Jung Kook. Both Jimin and Jung Kook have black belts. Jimin more so than Jung Kook as far as I know. Jung Kook definitely does tributes to MJ and you can see that as well in his solo Standing Next to You.

They excel at everything, but yeah, their dancing is always fantastic. Always. I think that you would really like the Dance Practice video for Run BTS. It really gives you a clear view into just how great they are. It also features back-up dancers, and they are amazing. The song is also kind of rock-n-roll style, so I think you’d really enjoy it. It really is a jaw-dropper in terms of choreography. Thrilling, really.

I have a tip/suggestion for you. When you see that a performance is from MMA or MAMA, don’t let people talk you into watching one song out of these performances, like you did here. They often tell stories with their award show performances, especially MMA and MAMA…or at a minimum, they build over the course of multiple songs. This was the last of four performances (five songs), so it was basically the climax - which you watched first. I know your time is limited, so you may say you don’t have time to watch 20-40 minutes performances all at once, but you will lose quite a bit of the impact by watching them out of order, especially MMA performances. Just my two cents. Having said that, imagine watching this at the end of four songs (Black Swan instrumental, ON, Life Goes On, and We are Bulletproof: The Eternal (background/transition music only), all spectacular performances. The dance break was new, and ARMY lost our collective minds. Also, I don’t know if you realize it, but MMA and MAMA are award shows, and these shows in Asia are multiple entire body lengths above anything we see in award shows here in the US. They alcN be two six hour broadcasts over two days, believe it or not. For ARMY in the US, it means staying up or getting up for 3, 4, 5 AM shows, and usually watching not great streams of them, with little to no on-screen translation (we depend on live translations by our volunteer ARMY translators, usually on Twitter). It’s a whole experience, believe me. This year - 2020 - when SUGA was out for his shoulder surgery, he watched one of the shows live with us. BTS filled his spot for Life Goes In and Dynamite with a snow man, and they put his mic on a stand in front of it. SUGA saw that and immediately posted “I can’t believe I’m a snowman !” On Weverse (their own artist-fan engagement platform). Everyone was thrilled he was watching, loved his reaction/post, and loved that he also kept asking in Weverse when BTS was ever going to perform. 😂😂 He was feeling the pain ARMY experiences every year.

Isn't that fun?! No two BTS songs are the same, and you were watching a lot of solos and vocals. The in-person award shows were shut down this year due to covid so everyone "broadcast from home". They love to throw in tidbits of Michael Jackson here and there. The next one you should watch is the Grammy 2022 performance of Butter!

On Kinetic Manifesto and also Grammy performance of Butter for amazing choreography. For something longer I would recommend the 2019 MMA performance… but do this one when you have time because it’s 40 minutes long, but one of the most amazing things you’ll ever see. It really needs to be watched all at once rather than broken up so again, you would need time. When I first saw it, my jaw was hanging open and I had already seen a ton of their content.

Since you like choreography so much please check out the Danger Dance practice! The choreography for it is one of the best I’ve seen!

Not sure if you did or working on doing the permission to dance music video, but did you know in that video bts incorporated asl (American sign language) in to there dance for that song. I think the words were happy, dance. As a matter of fact I'm 80% sure V is the only member that's learn or knows (uses) asl.

Ok..I'm a Gen Xer just like you. I'm also from S. Korea but now American. I was there when KPop "started". I'm gonna ruin it for ya. It's the same beat year over year, getting more and more sexualized. For me, it's corny especially the rap. Try XG out for size. They are where KPop should be but their genre is XPop. KPop is repetitive but XG will make you reevaluate XPop.

I feel so bad. who ever is giving you BTS videos to watch is really giving you so many bad ones. Maybe ask armys. The best one for dynamite is the Grammy performance. the official MV is cute too but sometimes gets blocked.
