I found Dan about 8 years ago... went back then, and watched from the beginning.I have watched him grow and mature, from a young man with promise, into one of the most awesome singers I've ever heard in my entire life. I love this! I am 82 years old and Dan's video is to be used at my services when I pass... He is totally awesome in everything he does. "The Vasc Nation" continues to grow day by day. We are glad to have you join us. Come on down the Vasc rabbit hole with us. You will have a sensational ride. Thank you, we appreciate your reactions to our Dan.

I've been VERY happy to have discovered that rabbit hole on April 9, 2023, just two days after Dan released this song. I will never leave it (other than a few quick forays to OTHER rabbit holes, that are connected in more than one way). I've also been happy to meet all of the OTHER little rabbits down inside the hole...such as you, @mamalinhager . It's such a great place for music and fellowship! 😀

Yes. I just discovered Dan through this video a couple of months after he released it. In September my husband went into the hospital unexpectedly and 3 weeks later, still in the hospital, lost his battle. At his request, this was played at his service.

I also became a Vascanite when Dan released this song. Unlike some people, I clicked on it straight away and oh boy, my life has never been the same!❤❤ Dan is just phenominal and sings from all genres. So glad you've discovered Dan and hoping for more reactions, thankyou 😃

I'm so glad you reacted to this. Thank you. Dan is "Amazing" isn't he? But he wasn't born singing like this (though he says he sang before he could talk). He has worked hard to perfect his vocal skills and took voice lessons for 10 years or so. He also believes that since his body is his instrument, how he cares for it makes a difference in his singing. Thus he eats healthy and works out to keep himself in the best shape possible.

Dan received the harmonica as a child from his father, who unfortunately died.

Davi (Dan's younger brother) has mentioned (on one of his "Talking Videos" playlist entries) that their dad bought a LOT of harmonicas (and played them all). Occasionally, he would give one or more to either or both of the boys, and this continued until their dad passed away in 2017 (about a week before Dan's birthday, after battling cancer for a while). The harmonica Dan chose for "Amazing Grace," is one that sounds the most like bagpipes. On October 9, 2017 (the day before Dan's 28th birthday), he posted his dad's favorite Elvis song (An American Trilogy) as his tribute.

Isn’t this a just beautiful performance from Dan. He has the most incredible voice and has honed his technique over many years of training and hard work. He does make it look easy but has said in the past that this type of singing is exhausting and takes a lot of work to do correctly. So I am very grateful that he has stuck with it to bring us his wonderful music. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I look forward to seeing your next choice from his extensive library of work. 🎵🎶🌟🎶🎵

Thank you for playing much of it uninterrupted...... I am so much more likely to enjoy a response when it is played most of the way through. Thanks for another Dan Vasc reaction. This is the song that introduced me to him and now I can't go without a day of listening to his music. He put his all into this classic hymn and just elevated it even more. There are several great song choices listed in the comments that would be great for you the react to, but I will add his covers of Adele's Rollin in the Deep and Lady Gaga's Poker Face. He does great things with these also.

Great reaction. This performance was the first I ever heard from Dan, about two months after he released it, and I was immediately hooked. I remember this thumbnail kept popping up in my KZfaq feed. I ignored it (for about two months) thinking to myself, "I don't want to hear a metal singer ruin Amazing Grace." Finally I gave in and clicked on it and I was so sorry I hadn't listened to it sooner. This is hands down the best rendition of Amazing Grace I've ever heard and I just love watching others react to it for the first time. Keep 'em coming!

BTW, the harmonica is standing in for the traditional bagpipes, which I’m sure you’ll appreciate!This song is a carefully structured multi-part journey that shows off several ranges of his gorgeous voice, as well as both his classical and metal technique.
