Dimash Qudaibergen, leave out the -ov. It's only pronounced in Russian. These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. It’s unbelievable. By the way he didn‘t win The Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. The following year in 2018, they changed the rules and Jessie J. won. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Try a heartfelt song in the Kazak language. Try "Omir Mood Video"/2023 This original song is heartfelt and personal. Omir means Life. The video shows images of Dimash's entire life/career up to 2023.
