The band name Earth Wind & Fire is from the elements. This band is the first music I remember hearing as a child. I know all of the songs and they all mean something special to me.

Love this funky jazzy group. They covered many genres of music. They had a lot of hits in the 70's-80's such as "September", "Shining Star", "Got To Get You Into My Life", "Boogie Wonderland", "Reasons", "Sing A Song", "After The Love Is Gone" etc.

Lionel Richie was a member of the Commodores. The high voice of E.W.F. is the incomparable Mr. Phillip Bailey and the other lead singer and found of the band you hear was the magnificent and magical Mr. Maurice White. His brother Verdeen White is the bass player of the group. This band is the ambassadors of human kind to the universe. If aliens landed on earth, I would give them all albums of EWF to let them know that we have souls and so much potential for goodness.

HOT TAKE... I feel this is their best song! My wife and I have seen them live 4 times, twice in 2022 alone. The way the crowd participates when they perform this song, oh man it's so awesome!

Earth, Wind, and Fire is one of the GREATEST groups of all time. They are Hall of Famers and have multiple multiple albums of many types of genres. Phillip Baily was the falsetto singer but Maurice White was the other lead singer and group organizer. Lionel Richie was a Commadors and was not in the same league as EWF. Boogie Wonderland, Reasons, September, I'll Write a Song, Love Holiday, All About Love, Devotion, among many many more.

We gotta give love to Mr. Verdine White. Best (well 2nd best) bass player ever. He stacked the musicianship in the beginning and just stepped back and let his afro go. Philip Bailey was the percussionist (bongos and timbales) high falsetto singing in harmony over himself i think twice. And they were from Chicago so the violins came from the orchestra in the college area. Came out beautifully. Im sorry im blabbing on. Im a music teacher in an elementary school.

Founding member Maurice White came up with the band's name from his astrological sign of Sagittarius primary elemental quality of Fire and seasonal qualities in Fall of northern hemisphere which is Earth and in Spring of southern hemisphere which is air (Wind).

In an "And Now For Something Completely Different" way, I'd like to suggest you take a look into Annie Lennox's music, both as part of the Eurythmics and as a solo artist. You could start with "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and take it from there.

If you need to watch a movie again and it's not playing on TV or at the cinema, you'll have to find the book that it was probably based on and use the theater of the mind. They took their name from the old world "elements" - water just didn't fit. Even though they started in the early 70's, this album came out during the peak of the "pyramid power" craze.
