Elvis tamed down his moves in this concert because it was going out to so many countries and cultures. He and the producers didn't want to offend anyone. He was reserved, but excellent. The voice, magical. Thanks for this reaction. The concert had many fantastic performances. 💖🔥💖🔥

They are not moving ..... BECAUSE ...... We did not want to miss a thing ...... I was there ....... We were not told to keep it down ..... We were just totally mesmerized ...... REMEMBER ...... There was nothing like Elvis before or scene ..... By the way there are two Aloha From Hawaii filmed ....... The show itself and the rehearsal ...... And on top of that ...... Elvis recorded exactly 769 Songs ....... Did 31 Movies ...... Did two Documentaries ....... And Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's ....... And was to Canada three times in 1957 ...... "SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW AND DON'T EVEN NOTICE" ...... TILL THEY SEE THIS ...... There are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RECORDING OF THE ALOHA FROM HAWAII ...... THE REHEARSAL AND THE SHOW ITSELF .....That happened and that over 1 1/2 billion { with a B } through satellites around the world...... Never attempted before ...... ELVIS WAS THE FIRST...... AND I WOULD VENTURE TO SAY THAT IT HAS BEEN WATCHED now by an ungodly amount more sense then ..... And re-watched again and again ...... For Instants here is "what now my love" filmed recordings of the 1973 Hawaii show ...... The rehearsal show { The night before the show ..... SHOW } ..... And the show itself ..... { Both shows filled to capacity in Hawaii ..... And both Recorded } ...... However ..... Only one of the shows aired at that time ..... {The second night's recording } ..... So here then is the rehearsal show ..... {The endings are different and so is the outfit ..... { LOOK CLOSE }..... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9aafs-Asp2vgWg.html ..... And here is the show that aired back then ...... {The one you just did} ..... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oM6Cec1pxMW5g2w.html ..... Most people like the rehearsal better ..... I love them both ..... Who else but Elvis .... Could do two live performances and sound the same Both till he changed the ending on them ..... Both are a gift from Elvis ..... AND HERE IS ...... WHAT NOW MY LOVE-SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON OF SATELLITE AND REHEARSAL .BY REQUEST ...... [NOTE ...... THANKS TO REQUEST FOR THE SIDE BY SIDE ...... THANK YOU BROTHER] ...... (The show was done for the Kui Lee Cancer drive .... Ended up exceeding its planned donation goal of $25,000, $145,700 in today’s economy, and raised roughly $75,000, or $437,200 post inflation.) ..... Of course, you can’t forget about the suit. Oh, the suit. Created by Presley’s costume designer Bill Belew, the only thing the king asked for was a costume that would say “America” to international viewers. After playing around with the idea of outlining a map of the U.S.A, or using the flag as a design, Belew landed on the bald eagle to represent the country. Producing the suit took Belew's entire staff, as it contained over 6,500 individual stones and gems embroidered onto the costume. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y911lsqYy7zNcWQ.html ...... Cause once you know the real Elvis ...... You'll know a truly ..... Once in time ..... Gift from God ..... And no Actor will ever be the same ..... Can't be done ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ...... Big N .......

Elvis was told not to dance around much at all, as this was the first ever live concert to be beamed to 40 countries around the world, via satellite, & they did not want people of different cultures/religions to be offended in any way. I watched it live in New Zealand, along with my wife, & it was such a great concert. Elvis looked magnificent. Back then, people in the audience didn’t really stand up & dance, especially not with a wonderful entertainer like Elvis. He had so much charisma that people would not have wanted to take their eyes off him, in case they missed something.

This was around 3am Honolulu time. People probably didn't have the energy I guess. It was broadcasting at this time so the concert could be seen around the world, but by the time the concert started... most were asleep in Hawaii. Over a billion people watched this concert... truly amazing ‼️

Jane H commenting ….. If you want to see Elvis in action, you should do a Reaction to Polk Salad Annie in 1970 Las Vegas concert. Also, Suspicious Minds in 1970 Las Vegas concert …. Lots of great dance action by Elvis in both of those, & of course, Elvis singing while doing it. Another great Elvis performance is You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling in that same 1970 Las Vegas concert …. Dramatic! Subbed to watch your Elvis Reactions.

It's strange what we can remember, I was four years old when that came out and I remember watching it like it was yesterday. My parents did not want to watch it but I threw a fit until they let me. I was an Elvis nut even at that young age.

Check out: "Suspicious Minds" (Live in Las Vegas), "An American Trilogy" (Aloha From Hawaii, Live in Honlulu, 1973)& "If I Can Dream" ('68 Comeback Special) to name a few. These are videos with actual performances. He was a jokester so don't blink or you might miss something. There's 2 short documentaries called: "Elvis and the Black Community" Parts 1 & 2. This will give you a little background on Elvis's history. I hope you will check them out. R.I.Paradise Elvis! 😇🙏🏽💖

There is an amazing story behind this show. #1: This show was the pioneering step to CABLE TELEVISION, PAY PER VIEW and the INTERNET. It was the first WORLD-WIDE WEB of music. Almost 2 BILLION people witnessed this show either live or on delay in many countries around the world. More people watch THIS concert than watched Neil Armstrong walk on THE MOON. Even Michael Jackson never drew this many people to a show. Not even CLOSE. #2 The proceeds of the show exceeded the planned $25,000. $75,000 (equivalent to $520K in 2023) was raised for the Kui Lee Cancer Fund from audience members attending donations. The next day, Honolulu Advertiser columnist Wayne Harada called the show a "thrilling, compact hour-long on music and screams" in his review. He deemed Presley's performance of "I'll Remember You" as "easily the most sentimental" for the Hawaiian audience and remarked on the warm reception for "An American Trilogy" Elvis made not ONE PENNY from the gate it all went for cancer research and Kui Lee's family for his care!

Elvis really had to be coaxed to record this song in 1972. I don’t think he was ever comfortable singing this song compared to most of his other performances. Mind you, Burning Love made it to #2!

@@nealmalik9142 Actually Ernst Jorgensen! Ever heard of this highly regarded Elvis book author? According to A Life In Music "But when they started up again the following evening, it took almost everyone in the room to persuade Elvis to commit himself to “Burning Love.” Felton, Joe Esposito, Jerry Schilling, and Red West were all convinced it was a “hit, and Charlie Hodge dutifully hammered away on his acoustic guitar trying to get Elvis interested. Yet Elvis himself remained unconvinced, and though he eventually cut it, three months later he told reporters in New York that the reason he didn’t record more rock ’n’ roll was, simply, that a good rock song was “hard to find.” He seemed to have no idea that the one he’d just completed would become a classic.” Excerpt From Elvis Presley: A Life in Music: The Complete Recording Sessions

Behavior, particularly from adults yrs. ago was very different. The ones who went crazy were the younger girls, the teenagers but even they didn't do anything that crazy; yes, there were a a couple of instances when a woman managed to get up onto the stage to grab him, but people in general back then behaved more respectful; see this very clearly in "Love Me Tender" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eMuEqNWKv9u9ZHU.html when he kissed approx. 24 woman then jumped down to take a walk through the audience. THAT RAMP from the STAGE: Producer/director Marty Pasetta told Parker he wanted to build a ramp for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker (Elvis' manager) said no. Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to (Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis). Parker said no. Fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker. Fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the ramp. Paseta told Elvis he wanted him to lose 25 lbs., which Elvis did. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. Imagine how different that concert would have been if Elvis didn't have the option to get in close contact w-his audience. HE would have been just as spectacular, but without the ramp the concert would have had a very different feel. Thanks -- new sub.

It is how it was in those days. It's not like concerts today. They paid for tickets, it was for paid seats. Men went in a suit shirt and tie, women, were dressed up.

First of all, on this 1st ever worldwide satellite broadcast, the audience was instructed not to stand or move around too much. Technology was way different. That could have ruined the whole broadcast. Second - regarding you stating that everyone would recognize Michael Jackson & his “original” look with the glove, - an earlier generation would immediately recognize where he got the glove, short pants with white socks that show, and a lot of his dance moves…..from Al Jolson.
