Pretty much the whole of Eminem Show was produced by Em except Say What You Say and Business. He produced for Nas, Jay-Z, 2pac (he voluntered to do it for free and 2pacs mom let him), Obie etc . He sure is underrated as a producer

Eminem actually produced “The Way I Am” it’s his first song he produced.

Eminem composed and produced The Way I Am by himself. It was him reacting to the record company saying they needed a poppy song for the album as a single. He was pissed, felt like the album was done, and wrote The Way I Am in anger. He then wrote The Real Slim Shady to make the record company happy and it was the first single released from this album. But yeah, Eminem made the beat, not Dre.

Pls tell me you know STAN. This is where the term came from. Had huge impact on hip hop. If you’re “someone’s Stan”, you’re their obsessive fan. They even put the term in dictionary. He’s out on many many people. HUGE IMPACT. Huge song. Even Elton John loves him and saw past the sense of humor and shut up all the critics. Elton and him talk to this day

The records you were saying were Dre, Em produced! He doesn’t talk about it much but check out the list and check how many of the songs were produced by Em. The Way I am was Em, I’d have to go look but he produced most of his songs. Dre produced “My Name Is”, “The Real Slim Shady”, I mean, Dre produced a bunch but most of Ems songs he produced.. 🙂

It's also the craziest Bars he's ever done throughout the entire album... some people don't like it because he does a lot of accents but he had to because certain accents allow you to bend certain words enough to make them ryhme. It's like the first 'horror core' rap album...he's a serial killer throughout the entire album. If you like crazy bars, double entendre and even some triples or visually descriptive lyrics then it's amazing. I've got the uncommon opinion that it's his best album ever, it definitely has the most complex bars

Was a brilliant marketing move by the dude who left the Source to run XXL when all the bs was going on with Benzino. He basically gave Shady records, 50 & Em the entire magazine to go back at Zino & the Source, which was the final nail in the coffin for them & XXL became #1 Hip Hop mag from then on. If zino wasn't such a 🤡 and a smart businessman, ish would never have to go down like that

Fax. Way I Am was 1st official track Em produced & it basically came about cause when Em & Dre turned album in, the label said album was great but dark. They needed a lead single to promote the album. That's where Real Slim Shady came from (long back story to that too) And also where, Way I Am came from. Which is probably still my fave em track. I'm an old head, Em didn't drop till my early 20's & I felt that anger at that age & now it's my go-to track when I'm really pissed off. Something about blaring it & spitting along levels me out. Lol.
