This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion.

I just saw Home Free again a few months ago. This was the last song they sang. The audience waited in anticipation for the last note. Tim didn’t disappoint. The floor vibrates when he hits that last note. Then your whole body vibrates. It is wild. We were lucky that he didn’t blow the speakers out. It has been know to happen.🤣

I just watched your first Home Free reaction, and you were so impressed with them (as well you/we all should be, imho) that I immediately looked forward to watching a whollotta other reactions to them which I was sure you would have wanted to do after that first one. Just thought you'd like to know, Home Free broke into fame on a show called Sing Off, and one of the judges was Shawn from Boys II Men. He was a HUGE fan of Home Free, and compared basso profundo Tim Foust to his bandmate Michael McCary.

The bass singing is done by both Avi and Tim, somewhat of a bass duel. I like the way Avi tips his hat to Tim’s ending bass note.

Fall down the Home Free rabbit hole! There are over 150 videos (not counting the live videos and the ones on their individual channels). Two of them (Tim Foust - bass & Austin Brown - high tenor) are also song writers and there are originals as well as covers. They sing almost every genre from gospel to goofy. Home Free is also ego-free and believe in cooperating with other bands and promoting other groups & singers.

Ring of Fire in a more modern, somewhat reggea-like version, but still respecting the original. More than 4 years ago this was the first video I saw/heard from Home Free. I got there because I was listening to Pentatonix at the time and Avi was my favorite. Immediately there was something that drew me to Home Free. From then on I followed them and after I think 2 videos I was a real Home Fry. I hardly follow PTX anymore. Avi still does, because Avi Kaplan and Home Free let me feel music and not just hear it. Their great harmonies, the unbelievably good beatboxing/vocal percussion and of course that incredible deep bass that makes the ground vibrate and your speakers explode.

Adam Rupp (beat boxer) is an alien 👽! Recommend more of Home Free: Sea Shanty Medley, In The Blood, Brothers In Arms, Brother, When A Man Loves A Woman, Folsom Prison Blues. BTW I really like your kinetic sculpture (I think that's the right word) in the background.

Funny you mention Boyz II Men, they do a cover of "End Of The Road". Home Free won Season 3 of The Sing Off, Shawn Stockman was a judge, I heard he loves the cover. "When A Man Love A Woman" Pearcy Sledge cover is fire. "All About That Bass" is funny, and all about their Basso Profundo Tim, he even points to himself and says "All about me" at the start. Then there is the "Butts Medley" where they mash up a bunch of songs about butts from different genres. Just don't do "Mayday" until you are familiar with each members strengths.

A few come to mind that would be playlist worthy that you might want to react to next,. based just on your remarks in this reaction would be Home Free"s version of Boys 2 Men's " End Of The Road" #1 or Home Frees's version of "When A Man Loves a Woman" as a second choice. I will not even get started on their XMAS and Religious covers, all contenders of " better than the original " in status.

That last last note by Tim was a G1 and he held it for (I think) 13 seconds. I'm glad you reacted to Home Free. They are my favorite a cappella group.
