@@pb68slab18 i don't know, I'm old. Nickelback was a reminder of the energy from the rock/metal i grew up with. I suspect the younger generation caught themselves liking it but quickly noticed older generations liking it as well. That meant it had to suck or they weren't rebellious and cool.

You also didn’t notice Kid Rock, Gene Simmons (from Kiss), Ted Nugent who was also part of the band Damn Yankees as well as a solo artist, Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell MMA fighter. This video and song has always been one of my favorites!! Loved the reaction to this one!

My son was 6 when this song came out and he was obsessed with it. It got played so many times. I love this song and video. Never really understood why people hated on them so much. I still have zero idea WHY people suddenly decided to hate Nickelback so fiercely. I absolutely LOVE ALL of their released songs! I don't own any full albums, but that's normal these days because record labels don't often create full quality albums since the mid 90's....except for the BTS albums and a few Country albums...I mostly del in tracks. haha

This song has a new meaning for me these days. Back in 2010 I was bartending at a beach resort on Sanibel Island in Florida. It was a dream job. Living and working (maybe 5 hours per day at most) on a resort island. All us employees were friends and used to rock out after work to this song. I still remember every word by heart. As you may have heard, Sanibel, Captiva and much of Ft Myers has been demolished by hurricane Ian. Sanibel was hit the hardest. The resort I worked at back in the day is completely gone. No trace. The property is just sand.

This song is so tongue in cheek - and has the BEST hook and flow to it. You need to check out When We Stand Together - and Hero from Spiderman. He also does an amazing duet with Santana called Into the Night. All worth a listen. Cheers from Canada! :)

Nickelback is still and will always be one of my favorite bands. They have so many amazing hits. Please check them out. PHOTOGRAPH,💥FAR AWAY💥SATELLITE💥SHE KEEPS ME UP💥ANIMALS💥SOMETHING IN YOUR MOUTH💥NEVER AGAIN. Such an underrated band. They are amazing in concert. They also wrote a song called SIDE OF A BULLET about when Dimebag Darrell from Pantera was shot and killed on stage right in front of his bother who was the drummer. It's an awesome song.

Pretty amazing that one of the most successful bands from Canada come from Hanna, Alberta. A Town with less than 2400 people. Over 50 million albums sold.

I love this song. It seems to get rewritten about every15-20 yrs. Joe Walsh wrote "Lifes Been Good", Bob Segar wrote "Turn the page" AC/DC has Highway to Hell and Bon Jovi hascWanted: Dead or Alive. If you pull up the lyrics the same time you listen to the song every one of yjrm is about the good or bad side of fame and living life on the road

The hate for nickelback is just one of those weird things. It somehow caught fire and went viral if you will and became like the cool hipster throng to hate nickelback. I’m no big fan or anything and don’t go out of my way to look up their music, but we’re easily one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live 🤷🏻‍♂️
