I was fortunate enough to be alive and in my teens and early 20's when Queen was on fire. I remember the first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody in full. I had bought the original vinyl album and took it home, put it on my turn table, placed my headphones over my ears and had my mind officially blown. I am so happy when I see a new generation discover the excellence that was and is Queen.

I am still disappointed that people still dont know bohemian rhapsody

no autotune, when they recorded the song and did the video, they had to overlap their voices in different octaves to get the "chorus" sound, took hours of time in the studio and it's all them. That's why you don't hear the chorus during live performances. Simply amazing, and all of this was in Mercury's head, simply amazing. Even Brian May didn't understand at first what they were doing and it was never revealed by Mercury what the meaning of the lyrics are. If you can find it, there is a couple vids on KZfaq on the making of the Rhapsody, really interesting, though kinda dry, but it gives us a look in how it was actually done.

I enjoyed hanging out with these two during this video. They’re good company even for an old lady like me living on the other side of the world. Kinda mellow people who like talking about music in a non-egotistical way. And I love the teddy-bear suit or whatever that white fluffy thing is. I wish I was a little girl and he was my uncle.

I was 15 living on South Africa in 1975 when my sister returned from a trip to the UK and she brought me a cassette of the Kenny Everet show on Capital Radio and this track was at number one on the charts. We had never heard anything like it before. The only song that DJ's never faded, they always let it play out.
