Bobby's grave marker includes the inscription "If you believe in forever then life is just a one night stand." When Bill does this song since Bobby's passing he ends it "If there's a rock and roll heaven then Bobby's got a hell of a band." More Righteous Brothers (my favorite duo ever): I Just Wanna Make Love to You, Bobby live with Summertime, both live on the Ed Sullivan Show with You'll Never Walk Alone. Most of my faves from them weren't big hits, so if you really want to go down a rabbit hole I could give you lots more.

When this song was brought to them they liked it but thought it was not an RB song. Turned out to be one of their biggest hits! Critics hated it but fans loved it. It will live forever because we are always losing great artists. Ironic that Bobby joined the band far too soon. 😭 And BTW thr 70's ROCKED!!!

The 60's and 70's definitely had the best mixture of music groups.... British Invasion, Soul, Pop, Bubblegum, Soft Rock, and Classical Rock......The 50's had some great music as well...........WE must keep playing this great Music (such as Rock and Roll Heaven) so that the younger people can hear something worthwhile to listen as an alternative to the junk they have been forced to listen to in recent years. Many of the 60's and 70's songs had Orchestras providing the music...compare that to the computer generated junk of today, not to mention the many many over rated singers in recent times that can't really sing---let's be honest here. For example, how many recent female vocalists can sing like Karen Carpenter? Diana Ross? Dionne Warwick? Carly Simon? How many male vocalists/groups can sing like the Righteous Brothers? Jim Morrison? Neil Sedaka? Or harmonize like Seals and Crofts?There are so many others from 1964-to about 1979 where the Music really started to change as well. Again, we must continue playing the greats from years ago.

They weren't crazy about this song in the beginning. They thought it was kind of corny. But they had been without a hit for several years and had been apart. They were paid well to sing it, and when it became a big hit, it gave them a resurgence in their career, and then they Really Loved It!
