Rockin Rod. Lol. This was a bit of a different musical direction for Rod but it was big in the dance clubs. That’s basically the way Rod had his hair scene the late 60’s Rabbit hole of fun music.

Hairstyle - not sure about a mullet, a few years before that he had what we called a 'feather cut' here in UK, but I don't claim to be any expert on styles, so no idea what the precise name is.

Popular culture was into the disco/club life in a big way. ( Studio 54) Rod Stewart kinda pushed it a little bit with this song and "Hot Legs". Ah the 1970's , man you had to be there.

This was WAY before the mullet, but I see where you're going. This was towards the end of Disco, in the late 70's. Great song though. BTW, it's "If you want my body, and you think I'm sexy.....".
