The greatest all around guitarist, IMO. The man could play actually anything on the guitar from the fastest riffs to the most intricate fingerstyle! Unbeatable!

This guy was nothing short of a virtuoso on anything with strings: banjo, mandolin, guitar (6- or 12), fiddle/violin. Some good ones to watch are roy clark and glen campbell ghost riders in the sky, roy clark and jimmy henley. Once an amazing rock guitarist (Jimi Hendrix?) was asked what it was like to be the world's greatest guitarist, and his answer was, "I don't know. Ask Roy Clark."

Earlier on this same episode, Roy sang his biggest hit (Yesterday When I Was Young), then played the banjo, then classical on the violin (followed by blue grass). That video is on KZfaq and is well worth checking out.

This is one of the very few videos ever made that records Roy Clark, who was the absolute master of anything with one or more strings, being deadly serious about his craft. Roy Clark is today mostly remembered from the 70s hillbilly comedy-variety series Hee-Haw. If you want to hear the FULL genius that was Roy Clark, I don't think this was "filmed" for posterity, check out his album Roy Clark Live (1977) that you can find in it's entirety here on KZfaq on the Roy Clark channel.

He's like a virtuos he could play anything even violin banjo mandolin ukulele. That piece is called flamenco Malaguena. He's known from the TV show hee Haw and played mainly country music but this guy can play everything I just heard him play a ZZ top instrumental.

Roy Clark who is the co-host and host of the TV show Hee Haw for 30 years He is unbelievable recently died in my opinion one of the greatest musicians ever to play stringed instruments such as violin guitar banjo you name it and he was funny too I think one year he was named Entertainer of the Year country music star you will enjoy his videos

None of these resctors have been exposed to Spanish Classical Guitar or Flamenco. Not widely popular nowdays. Roys playing is awesome but not totally unique. He is a guitar virtuoso even though he is best known as a Country artist and comedian but his first level playing is No Joke! “12th Street Rag”, “Folsom Prison Blues” and his earliest recordings of “Yesterday When I Was Young”.
