@@GOTGamesliterally all of her music videos are her ideas - she generally approaches directors with ideas of what she wants for the video - sometimes with full storyboards. She started co-directing videos in the 1989 era, and as of The Man, she’s directed all of her music videos. So basically, you can’t go wrong. I’d just put the music videos in a hat, shake, and go from there. Keep in mind that almost every video has a behind the scenes on her channel, too - they’re ALWAYS worth watching, and almost no one reacts to them. (Hint hint, niche market. 😂😉)

I hate it when people say she can’t sing cause she’s singing this acappella right here with just her guitar in her and it’s beautiful! I understand what you’re saying. Her lyrics are the main reason so many fans love her. They can so heartbreaking but they’re so real and relatable. I didn’t become a real Swiftie until recently and I kinda wish I had been way sooner because her music would’ve gotten me through some rough spots. On the flip side Taylor also writes absolutely beautifully about the people she loves.

I love this version of Wildest Dreams. And yes, there is a certain melancholy to many of Taylor's songs. For me, it makes them super relatable. You did Christmas Tree Farm...but did you know Taylor also has a song “New Year’s Day”? Look for the "Fan Performance" version, which was filmed at her home in Rhode Island...with about 100 fans sitting in her living room. She plays piano in that one, so it's different than most of what you've seen before. This is the house that she wrote about in The Last Great American Dynasty.

Taylor was the shy kid in high school no one wanted to hang out with. She had very few friends, and she’s been badly hurt by a lot of relationships, platonic and romantic, since. She genuinely doesn’t believe people are going to stay - because experience has taught her that they don’t. And it’s a really sad loneliness that comes through in her songs, especially this one.

Don’t forget Luke, originally she was a country artist and still writes as a story teller and if you ever listen to country songs, they’re very often shrouded in tragedy, either something/someone meets a sad end or love/happiness seems to evade the singer. I think you nailed it at the end. My favorite part of Time Magazine Person of the Year article (a GREAT read if you want to learn more about how she sees herself) was “Maybe this is the real Taylor Swift effect: That she gives people, many of them women, particularly girls, who have been conditioned to accept dismissal, gaslighting, and mistreatment from a society that treats their emotions as inconsequential, permission to believe that their interior lives matter. “. We love to feel our feelings and her songs help validate them, put them to words and turn them into art and poetry!

Taylor Swift has seen so much heartbreak for somebody her age, and she write about her life so a lot of her songs are sad for that reason. Its really sad, she seems like such an interesting person but especially when she was very young in the industry she was preyed upon by a couple of older men who really don't seem to have had the best intentions for her. As much as I like the art that she created with her pain I still feel that she deserved a lot better than she's gotten in her life, especially romantically. But like she said herself "may your heart remain breakable but never by the same hand twice". Edited to add: I love your well wishes at the end of the video! I’m excited, I start graduate school next week after spending an embarrassing amount of time deciding what to do after college. 2024 is definitely going to be the year things improve for me!

I think you should react to Tolerate it from the Eras tour. I think you will be impressed with her acting during that performance

I would love to see you react to “Mirrorball” and the accompanying commentary from the Long Pond Session. It’s not the boppiest, but the lyrics make me feel so seen and exposed, and it’s so real and intimate that I almost feel like I’m intruding when I listen. In the same vein, you HAVE to react to “Dear John” and “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” (in that order) at some point! They’re about the same relationship, written 13 years apart, and they will absolutely have you crying.

I binged all your Taylor Reactions today while working 😂 Subscribed ✔️ welcome to the fandom! Taylor is the queen of Sad Bops. My current favorite sad bop is Hits Different. My recommendations for more things to react to, Look What You Made Me Do music video, Blank Space music video, Me! Music video, and NPR Tiny Desk performance

I look forward to your reactions on Taylor's music. We all love her so much, not just her music, but the poetry in her lyrics... She's intelligent, she has a great sense of humor and she's so down to earth. So thank you for your kind words of Taylor. Can wait too see more reviews😊

I’m here with all of my other Swifties to say, you have to see this music video! But I reallllllly want to watch the music video for “Blank Space”. It’s a funny video and it’s kind of her response to the media always coming after her about her love life. Please keep the Taylor reactions coming. I love knowing that on Tuesday and Friday I’m getting a new reaction video. I think I speak for all the Swifties in the comments that we are really loving going along with you on your Taylor journey. 💜

If you want a sad upbeat bop you have to listen to Hits Different. Also, would highly recommend Lover live on SNL!

Dreams and quite ALOT of her songs were written abt a man she fell hard for that broke her heart or made her lose her self worth at some point when she was much younger. She hasn't always been the strong woman she is today. So even now when she sings the songs she still can feel what she felt at the time she wrote them which makes you cry. So yes totally understand your point.

You should listen to the studio version. It has her heartbeat used as an instrumental. And the music video is one of the best cinematic pieces ever

This is one of my favorite performances of hers. Remember MTV Unplugged? I’d love to see a special like that with her. Two of my favorite Unplugged concerts on MTV were Nirvana and Guns N’ Roses. I wasn’t a fan of either until I watched those performances.

Alsoooo, New Year's Day live on The Tonight Show w/Jimmy Fallon in 2016. Go ahead and prepare to be emotional for that, especially if you can find a video that tells the whole story of that performance. 😭😭😭 10/10 just cried while thinking about it.

If you want to feel really emotional I highly suggest listening to long live (Taylor’s version) it’s a thank you to her fans and her band for standing by her. She wrote it in 2010 but it means even more 14 years later🫶

I truly want a reaction to every single Taylor song and performance that exists because yours are so good lol!! But I think a fun one would be the song Long Live since it's known as "the fan song". There's a sweet performance of it from the Eras Tour with her band that's mostly been with her since the beginning and the inspiration for the song.
