First Time Hiking in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 Not what I expected!!!

Today we are finally leaving Ethiopia's capital to try to see some nature. It is our third day in Addis Ababa, and I had been recommended to see Entoto Park. Not as spectacular as I would have imagined. It still made for an interesting day. The park has various adventure sports activities and several restaurants, where you can try the local coffee. But the majority of attractions seem to be more touristic, rather than a scenic hike. Not what I was hoping for, but my friend and I made the best of it.

Bro it was boring because that place was made as cycling, family resort(hence the go cart, paint ball, zip lining, spa, and horse back riding)and in-forest hotel. It really isn't a place to hike. There are other places for adventures and hicking(which are beautiful), but still thanks for checking it out.

Yeah like I’m sure if I was doing all that stuff it would be great . But for hiking we picked the wrong spot 😂 it was just a suggestion we got off another person at the hostel . The truck was really fun though

A nice vlog. Thank you for the impression you shared with us. I understand that you said that the route was boring. The reason for that is obvious. The monotonous weird landscape of Intoto is visibly sucked dry by eucalyptus forest which actually doesn't belong in a such tropical point of the globe (600 km north from equator and over 2300 metres above sea level and optimal rainfall). Eucalyptus plantation did enormous damage to the Ethiopian flora just like the damage done by the cannibalistic Lake Victoria Perch to the indigenous fish population of the largest African lake ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nile_perch#Invasive_species ). The sad and ironic side of the the story is that those who built this park in this place have no knowledge about the indigenous tropical plantation that used to cover this landscape before Menelik II had a smart idea to import this monstrous, aggressive and invasive plant from Australia.

Thanks for watching and reaching out . I had a look at the wiki link . Very sad but interesting. Such a waste of a beautiful area . The view was spectacular from the coffee shop . But they play music so I can’t show it . Although not much to see it’s still a nice walk . Just not what I was hoping for haha .
