100 in 30 overs. 120+ in the last 20 overs. Best one day formula back then. The way Kapil Paaji having a word with Sachin after every ball was the best mentoring he would have ever imagined. The final couple of balls was not telecast in DD because the game went over time and the satellite feed was cut off. Was shown later that night. Great memories!! 😁😁

He has stopped a certain boundary hit by Hadlee by sprinting no less than 100 meters on that time saving 1 run for his team. At the end of the day this 1 run remained decisive in the ultimate result of the match. What a player. India will not find another Kapil Dev in the coming 100 years also.

I can remember that Match . At that time I was suffering with Severe Typhoid disease and one of my Uncles he & me were watching the match , I was about go to Class iv to V at that time , But it was a pleasure to Watch The 2 World's Best Allrounders The Great Kapil Dev & The Great Sir Richard Hadlee. They were literally Competing with Each Other & they were truely fighting to Conquer the Match for their Nations. Literally Kapil Dev & Richard Hadlee both played very Well with the Bat & Ball . I can remember suddenly the match link cut away and subsequently We came to know from The Radio News that India Won The Match by Only 1 Run & The Great Kapil Dev who did the trick and He got bowled out his Competitor Sir Richard Hadlee. And at night in Television News We saw the last over How Kapil Dev got out Richard Hadlee. What an Outstanding Yorker Kapil Dev Bowled to Snatch The Match From The Kiwis. It could be anybody's Game , But hatsoff to To The World's Best Two Allrounders they way they were Combating for their Teams and the way they Bowled & Batted that was truly Fabulous. Both are my Favourites. And Was India's First win Against Newzealand under Mohammad Azharuddin's Captaincy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. We (India) won The Match Because of Kapil Dev, he scored 46 runs & Picked 2 vital wickets Martin Crowe & His Competitor Sir Richard Hadlee. Kapil Dev Literally Snatch The Match from The Kiwis.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉.

I saw this match live. Azhar was a rage after his magnificient 192 in the auckland test in this same tour. Sachin looked so cute and baby like...azhar really mentored him in initial days. I rememer the 80 plus knock by tendulkar in this series which made it certain that this little man will become the greatest!!

2000s would be Yuvraj Singh's era.... Because he played excellent cricket from 2000-2012. Dhoni only entered the team in the end of 2004 & made it big in 2005.

Dhoni was excellent but 2000 wasn't his Era. We saw better batsmen. Sachin was still ruling the cricket world, and then we had Veeru and Yuvi, who were far better than Dhoni.

Two great bowlers facing each other... Hadlee vs Kapil... Kapil broke Hadlee's world record of 431 Test wickets four years later. But Hadlee took 431 wickets in just 86 matches, but Kapil took 130 plus matches to reach 432 wickets mark. Richard Hadlee was the best pacer with more than 3 wickets per innings record & 6 wickets per match record.

@@Straight.Forward.Indianthe only good team Srinath succeeded against was RSA which wasn't yet the best team in the world and was frequently riddled with injuries, which doesn't exactly qualify him to be a consistent pace sphere head. Kapil's best performances came against the number ranked West Indies team of the 1980s and even at the fag end of his career he had excellent figures against a re-established Australian side. Also, Srinath had more exposure to English County Cricket, KD developed his skills on his own. Srinath may've been quicker, Kapil was much more impactful.

South Africa team in the 1990s was the strongest South African team till date as they were excellent against Pace, but not so good against Spin bowling. bahut ups and down ka match tha. yeh period transition ka tha 1983 world cup ke bahut se player isme nahi they naye talent ko mokey mil rahe they indian team has lot of lack of consistency phir bhi 200 plus run aacha score tha. uss time nz mein koi match jeetna hi world cup jeetna hota tha. men uss samay class 2 mein padhta tha such bolu pvt channel they nahi mujhe lagta tha pakistan aur west indies hi cricket hain inhi se india khelti hai baad mein pata laga nahi england hain australia hain nz hai. aur jab aisey matches dekhta tha rang birangi dress waai fast pitcho mein khel mann ekdum alag feeling hoti thi

Mohammad Azharuddin yaha tak bhi bigda huwa nahi tha. Uski intensity dikh rahi hai match jeetne ke liye. Run out ke baad gussa hona. Player ko galat position me dekh gussa hoke sahi karna. Yahi to imandari hoti hai. 1996 se Azharuddin fixing me aaya hoga. Fir wesi jeet ki bhookh intensity dikhi nahi usme.
