This was recorded in the early days (3 months ago lol) and I didn't upload because of the breathing and the overall poor quality. But today I decided to not keep those emotions hidden.

She really is a great artist from Belgium who delivers a story from deep within. I also very recently came across Lara, with this song as well. Her singing voice is very strong and subtle at the same time. I totally relate to your heartfelt reaction, Henry. I am glad you decided to post this reaction in the end. ❤

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( her grandfather is from Detroit). She was raised in sicilia first then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She just moved back to Italy a few months ago (temporarily?). She became very famous in Quebec and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. She is about to release a new album and kick off another tour that will visit eastern europe in april 2024 (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye), then several locations in Canada in june 2024 and, after some rest and a few TV Shows, France sometime in 2025. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

Don't make me laugh, Dimash doens't sing with emotions. He is not half as good as Lara. Dimash is just a good voice but certainly not an emotional singer. He conveys no emotion, he just likes to show how high he can go in every song, but no emotion.

Lara has a friend/buddy name “Gabriel Henrique” from Brazil. He is Dimash type level talent; However, Gabriel has heavy influences of Gospel + R&B in almost every song he sings. That is not in Dimash’s wheel house, I am not saying Gabriel is better than Dimash. Before anyone gets mad. Gabriel is just now being discovered by the wider World now! His KZfaq channel goes exactly his name: “Gabriel Henrique”. He is also, known as the “King of the Whistle Register”, and he has done lots of covers: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars/Lara Fabian, Cynthia Erivo, Ed Sheeran, Steven Tyler the lead singer Areo Smith, Adele, Steve Perry, Christian Aguilera, Cher, Michael Buble (Feeling Good), Jacob Banks a singer/ song writer, Never Enough from Disney Movie, Endless Love duet with Jade Salles, and more…. Check him out & he will not let you down. Click videos find “I have nothing”, because that song was the 1st English song uploaded. You may simply move forward & you will discover just how much he has grown as a singer & now in full control of his voice, using even his “Whistle Register”. Check him out, most of his songs are fun to watch & fun to watch. ✌🏼 😎 🌴.

“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m66DrM5luK3YpY0.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella. Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic kzfaq.info/get/bejne/id95f8eDprW3aGw.html

it was 2008 when I discovered Lara Fabian for the first time And I had been living in a deep emotional void for a few years. Bad relationships, my father's death, my health problems, I was living in devastating darkness devoid of any feeling.I still remember that night as I browsed KZfaq looking for videos and I came across this one.I started crying my eyes out and spent the whole night watching it on loop.I hadn't cried in years, and since that night all the weight I felt inside has gone. That's why I love her so much and she's my favorite artist (not to mention the perfection of her vocal technique). It may sound ridiculous, but when I put her music on with headphones, I could even get over my panic attacks. and then after years I discovered Ren and he gives me the same emotions. Different musical genres but with the same emotional power. I'm glad you discovered her too. This is certainly another incredible journey

When someone suffers attachment injury, it was not love. It was codependence. It was attachment. Never give yourself to another so much that you lose your Self. I learned this the hard way, and it took me 52 years. I'm now 57. It was the greatest lesson of my life thus far.

Welcome to Lara's world Henry, she's in her own league...if you cried for "Je suis malade", you're gonna cry even more (sorry ;) with "Broken vow". Whoever got dumped or betrayed (like me), will relate to this incredible song ----> kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fLSGhZOqsJ6pk2w.html PS: don't apologize, your reaction came from the heart, I do know that feeling too...

Your reaction is priceless. Lara is an amazing singer. I teach French and show my students every year this particular song. They fall in love instantly.

Merci! ❤

I’ve seen several videos of this live concert now many times since I discovered Lara Fabian and she is killing it and me! I love my wife very much for 43 years now, so I’m very happy, but I’m also an emotional man and both Lara and you are bringing me to tears 😢😂 Lara is a beautiful and loveable woman ❤ and the best vocalist ever. Dimash should take a deep bow to her. What the fuck 😂

Hi Henry Great and heartfelt reaction ❤ It's no shame to show your emotions when you react to Lara, many of us feel the same way when Lara gets into her song ❤ Your video stopped a little too early, bad link, here is a version with subtitles and full video Lara Fabian - Je suis malade kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pMlznLVi0ZbOe4k.html You should watch the last minute of this video and see how deeply Lara is actually involved in the text ❤ Believe it or not, Lara has another version a few years later that is even more haunted and with a more dramatic ending ❤ Lara Fabian - Je suis malade ( Live 4K - En toute intimité - 2003 ) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mtZjitV3rdGqo6s.html Love Lara ❤ Love from Denmark ❤ P.S. For yaers now this is my goto song if I'm in the mood for a good cry 😭 Your reaction was also so honest and pure ❤ thanks for sharing 🤗 This is the most emotional performance of a song I've ever heard and it's a true experience. No playlist material, unless one wants to nurture their depression.... Given this is actually a cover (the original is sung by a male) she totally owns it and fwiw her performances of this masterpiece go way beyond the original.

Check out Lara Fabians cover of Jacques Brells: Voir un amie pleurer. Performing with a cello player and accompanied by a piano. Beautiful and touching (as it always is with this amazing artist)..
To understand Lara and the love her fans have for her I recommend you react to Lara’s live concert in Paris where she sings Je t’aime. She had been going through tough times and her fans knew it. ❤️🇨🇦

Mr Henry, you seem to be overflowed by this very emotional genre of music, like I am also. I was surprised that you did not know Lara. She has already a 25 years old carrer. So knowing these 2 facts, may I suggest you another singer that will put you down. His name is Dimash Qudaibergen and I gave you 2 songs that Lara Fabian also sings….1. Adagio. 2. Love of tired swans. You will not regret to follow my advice. I am sure.Good listening.

Henry, I will not say too much but, believe me, the best way to describe emotions is showing them. This reaction video made me cry the same Lara makes me cry too. I have been 3 times in her concerts and have no words to describe those experiences. Please, you have to listen, watch, and if possible REACT, to "Perdere l'amore" in this concert too. It is a MUST. Your genuine emotions led me to subscribe to your channel, lara fabian is an extraordinary singer, she is not limited to just singing, she able to transmit emotions, even by removing the sound, her interpretation alone transmits emotions, and this it says everything about his singing and acting qualities. if i can recommend hes other songs, you could react to "Broken Vow", "Adagio", "Love by Grace" all from the same concert.

Lara's songs have always been emotional to me. I have collected and listen to all her albums. But it was also emotional to see your reaction to this song. It's quite reassuring to see someone sensitive as I am. It's so human to let your feelings show. Not many men can do that. Take care! P.S. Have you seen Lara's "Broken Vow"? That's another song that tears me apart.

The upload you reacted to seemed to cut the end off a tiny bit so you missed the poignancy of Lara remaining in the moment - a heartbreaking expression of utter dejection. Loved your reaction. Much love and appreciation to you as always 🫶

Of course she sings well, of course she has a magnificent voice. But she does so much more, she embodies every word with all her soul. And that's what breaks through all our resistance to the emotion she conveys. The depth she conveys with her voice opens up the audience with ease, grace and, one might say, effortlessness. The first time you hear it, you just expect a beautiful song, but very quickly, from the very first phrases, it reaches a part of us that thought we were safe. Her performance is so right and so perfect, it opens you up like a packet of crisps!

@henryaction I thank you from the depths of my heart for gifting/sharing this raw, vulnerable, and authentic reaction to this particular Lara Fabian performance. Where to begin...? Watching your vulnerability in it's purity unfold as the song instantly transported you to a singular unparalleled true love was like watching myself. I recognized instantly where it took you because it still touches me the same way, even 12yrs after the only person I've ever truly given my heart and soul to left without explanation. To see someone else's raw emotions is unbelievably refreshing, but also heartbreaking, because I broke with you each time the lyrics ripped at your heart. You're the first person, in 12 long years, that has given me a feeling that finally someone out there can relate to how I have for so long now. And not just surface relate, but very possibly empathize with a soul that has been hurt so deeply that it changed the very fabric of their being. There are certain moments in life that we simply cannot fully heal from. Uhhh, I've probably said too much already.... This song, it's power, and the journey that only Lara Fabian & her undeniable connection to every lyric is truly an experience that touches every single thread of the soul. Bravo bravo... P.S. I'm not sure i can watch any of your other reactions, until I've recovered from this experience. 😂 💯🤍👏👏

Glad you choose to post this beautiful performance my Humble Henry! I don’t understand the language but was really moved by the emotion in itself! Like many others, I totally understand what a broken heart does to one’s soul and how fresh the emotional pain can service again when triggered. Sending an extra dose of love your way today my young friend💛 On a side note: Earlier, I listened to Romain Axisa’s new release “Time after Time” (live at St Augustine’s church). It was absolutely breathtaking and I’m certain you’ll appreciate and give this piece of beautiful art the respect it deserves! I hope you consider…
