Ben Barlow is the lead singer in Neck Deep and Fil Thorpe-Evans was the bassist but he left, they both sing in 'Wish You Were Here', that's why you heard two different voices. edit: the main meaning of the song was about Ben's and Fil's father who's passed away.

I didn’t know Fil’s father also passed away, i aways thought it was kinda weird that Fil was singing about Bens dad haha. Makes more sense now.

I thought that was 19-seventy something? didn't he say this one was for a friend?
@muhammadibnusobahinur27229 ай бұрын
@@haveltherook3009 that too. Ninety seventy-something was more personal since the story was actually taken from the Barlow family. Whereas in wish you were here they made it more 'universal' so it can relate more for the listener.

I love your reaction! I love how you're so intelligent with the theory behind the songs as well. You're the only reaction channel I've ever watched who was able to identify a note and that blew my mind. Subscribed!

Some prefer this kind of vibe of like singing on live performance or in a studio. But i prefer the released version way way better. So good to hear.

Love neck deep. I think in bloom is my favorite song:) please react to Tigers Jaw!

For me, best neck deep songs are growing pains, December, smooth seas don't make good sailors, golden steps, a part of me and wish you were here (although I love their entire discography minus some of all distortions)
@LampyGames11 ай бұрын
Ben got voice training between these two songs and its so obvious. Even though i love December way more his voice is so much better in Wish You Were Here
@letsroamaround21892 жыл бұрын
Most of their discography is pop punk, their most populair songs are ofc the most poppy songs, I thinks life's not out to get you (the full album) is their best work

I prefer specifically growing pains over everything on life's not out to get you but it's CLOSE.
