Teddy Bear was one of his 6 #1 hits on the R&B charts in 1957. He was recently inducted into the R&B Music Hall Of Fame deservingly so.

I was in Norfolk, Virginia the day Elvis passed. My Mom was devastated, it took me a few years, I was only 10 years old at the time, to understand the loss. 😢😢😢

This movie made me an Elvis fan. I was raised on Elvis my grandma and mom were huge Elvis fans. So I knew Elvis but I didn't really know Elvis. So it was 1996 and 12 year old me runs into the living room and mom and grandma are watching Loving You this movie on the VCR. I watched the opening and Elvis gets out of a black car and my mouth hit the floor. I was like that's Elvis and my mom and grandma are like yeah. He was the sexist man I ever seen. I watched the entire movie rewinded it and watched it again. I knew then I was a lifelong fan. Thanks for keeping Elvis alive

Elvis was a staple in my house growing up. This was my grandma's favorite song. She even had an Elvis lamp. My daddy way back in the day had forehead hair swirl & apparently they didn't have the heart to tell me he was gone until I was 8 because I was gonna marry him 1 day😂

So fun to watch you youngsters have fun listening to Elvis! This was from his 2nd movie, "Loving You", in 1957. In 1958 he entered the US Army for 2 years and was stationed in Germany! The world was sad for a couple years...but it was a big deal back then. The first song I remember hearing was "Hound Dog"!! He was IT for a long time.

Elvis’s mom and dad were in the audience in the final concert. After his mom passed away Elvis never watched this movie again.

Like Ms. Cathy, I am a huge Elvis fan, thanks to my Momma who ..as a teenager.. bought EVERY record this man ever released, including all the 45 records from the '50s. Also, thks video clip os from one of his movies, two of which I LOVE and this one called: Loving You. Plenty of funny moments but a few sad and serious ones too. His other film that i adore ks called: Blue Hawaii. Also, quite a lot of funny moments. Both of which are worth a watch because Im guessing you've not seen any of his movies. He was actually a pretty good actor. I dont believe he had any formal acting training either, but especially in "Loving You," he did a great job! 😀👍 Thank you for doing this one. Rock on, Aszneth

Yup, in 1957 there was NO internet...The only way to immediately connect with anyone far away was the telephone...Not iphone or Android phone , a simple, old fashioned telephone with a dial plate , receiver that you held up to your ear ,and a long cord that connected to a wall in your house....And neither one of you was even a thought in 1957, and you both should be happy about that because now the both of you would be old people.. When the song Teddy Bear was first released , Elvis fans sent him hundreds of teddy bears that he eventually gave to children's hospitals .
