This is a Patsy Cline song. The "squeaks" is called yodeling. When Leann debuted her song "Blue" at age 14, she was heralded as the next Patsy Cline.

If you haven't reacted to her song "Blue" yet, you really should. It's her first big hit, but it's got a lot of yodeling in it (which takes a huge amount of vocal control). Recorded at age 13 and she just nails it

She's one of the best singers in the world IMO. A real human, not cut out for our brutal treatment of celebrities I suspect, too sweet. But incredible. Love her song 'I probably wouldn't be this way'. So beautiful. Man did she kill it on the masked singer too. Best one ever on there by far as far as I can tell.

Leann debuted at about 10 years of age, singing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers baseball game. The crowd was stunned. If they had delayed the game for her to sing another couple of songs, nobody would have minded.

LEANN would SANG Reba under the table and I'm a Reba fan. LEANN definitely has the best voice in country music. It's a shame the way she was treated simply because her marriage didn't work out, by fans and the industry. Because of that, we've been robbed from hearing her gorgeous voice more often.

The song Blue that made LeAnn a house hold name was originally written for Patsy Cline...and the writer waited for the right singer...and boy did he find one... Also...if you like LeAnn listen to her Carol of the bells live version... LeAnn may not have 5 Octave range but my God she can belt out music

LeAnn duets with Reba on a song called When You Love Someone Like That. They performed it live at one of the country award shows, you will love it. Reba had an amazing album in 2007 called Duets where she sang with many great artists. Some country artists but also people like Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Carole King just to name a few.

What I really like about Leanne is that she leaves no doubt in your mind who you are hearing. She takes a classic Patsy Cline song and makes it her own, without changing the the orginal arrangement significantly. I have one suggestion as I really love this song, is try Aaron Nevile's verison, and hear what a man can do with these lyrics.

ok, understand first, this is a cover, and a cover of what may well be the most recognized female country artist of all time. the Great Patsy Cline. understand also that as a teen Leann Rimes was anointed as "the next Patsy Cline" which was completely unfair to do to someone of her tender age at the time. nonetheless she was able to take this for what it was (a compliment of immense proportion), instead of a curse. a phenomenal vocalist her career has just gone on and on. if you enjoy her, im sure everyone is going to want you to check out her hits, i however want you to seek out an episode of CMT Crossroads and enjoy her collaborations with another astounding artist of a different genre, Miss Joss Stone. trust me , its worth it!

She has been my favorite singer since she was 13 and this song and video is my favorite. She may have been 17 for this recording. The profile with that “curve”😋 is near “x” rated. The lush strings and her next level voice make this one of my facorite videos. I had it recorded about 15 years ago and lost it. KZfaq put it up and I listen to it frequently. She is my favorite singer simce 🤔.

My old buddy Pete Hutlinger, who played in John Denver’s band for a few years, also played guitar with this lovely singer for a while. Unfortunately he passed much too young of a bad heart.

Covered you mean. A very silly outlook. No matter what an artist means to you, everyone should take on the best of them when it speaks to them. Here, she's I think just turned 16 here. 17 now, always tackling the classics. Only singer I think I can say is better than Leann alive today. Never a one song thought.
