What amazes me is how much foreshadowing there is that he is an angel once you know it. The way he appears out of nowhere, the fact that the house he is in is completely dark (uninhabited?) , the way he looks to Heaven when the beating starts as if he knows what's coming, and the way he glows as the e.m.t.s are rushing around as if that's the moment she passes. Great reaction. You need to check out Martina's "I am going to love you through it" (You might want tissues handy.)

Martina McBride was my late husband's favorite female country artist. We went to her Christmas concert one year. We passed the rear door to the venue as we walked to our car and her bus was waiting for her to come out. I insisted that we wait with a few other fans for her to come out. I wanted him to see her up close. She came out and graciously shook everyone's hand. He got to shake her hand, but couldn't speak a word. He was on cloud 9 for weeks. I was so happy for him.

The year this song came out I lost my sister to domestic violence (gun shot) also my sister was the oldest of 5 siblings she was terribly abused her whole life growing up, physically and mentally. It might sound strange to some people but when she died I was happy she was finally in a better place because her life on this earth was hell and she didn't deserve any of it. This song always reminds me of Judy, my sister who now lives in a better place with Jesus.

I’m 70 years old and it took me 40 years before I dealt with the early abuse. It was at my dad’s graveside forgiving him. He commuted suicide in 1972. I got sober in 2000.

I live in a small community that was just rocked hard because a man that was considered a "pillar of the community" whom I know personally and looked up to was just arrested for abusing his 12 year old step granddaughter for the last 2 years. I cannot even make it through the first verse before I start to tear up...such a sad song, and made even worse to know that there are just so many children who have to endure something similar every day. I moved to a completely new town at 6 years old and my neighbor was the same age. We became best friends but it didn't take long to see the physical abuse. I was young and crying telling my parents what was happening, they also knew him well because we spent every day together. My dad walked down there and his drunk dad got very defensive about the situation. It ended up with him on the ground apologizing to his son. He was never hit again, that was 15 years ago and my friend still thanks my dad for that day. If you ignore abuse then you are partly to blame.

Martina won Female Vocalist of the Year several times. She got her big break while selling merchandise at Garth Brooks concerts, in his early years. She became his opening act, and the rest is history. IMHO, her best vocal performance was on her song A Broken Wing. The story is a good one, but the vocals are unhuman like magic.

That's not true, it's a myth perpetuated by people who don't do the research, but insist they "heard it on an interview" or "read it somewhere". If you google this, there is no mention in any Martina McBride interview that this is based on personal experience.

Great reaction. This is one of those songs that hit home for me because I was that little girl, with the exception that they were able to get my heart restarted. I was 6. Now I'm almost 40 with 4 kids and they've never known a moment of abuse in their lives because I was determined to break that cycle. I agree with you that anyone who harms a child is just evil- there's not excuse for it.

When I was little, my parents bought a Martina Mcbride cassette and would play it non-stop, when we would drive around the entire day looking for deer. That was probably in the late 90's, early 2000's.. Love Martina, but it about drove me crazy listening to her songs non-stop for hours and hours. Lol

I used to be a child caregiver for different age groups. I suspected child abuse on one of my children who was 3 years old at the time. I told my director and she didn't believe me even though you could see it clearly on her. I knew it was horrible bc little girl never wanted to go home when her dad picked her up. A few months after she turned 4, I heard that the father was arrested and charged with physical abuse and was finally sent to prison for 10 years without chance of parole. After this, my director finally believed me that when I say something about child abuse I am always right. So when I hear this song, it always gets me bc I remember that little girl going through that abuse for over a year.

A must for you Britt is “Where Would You Be”. It is the most powerful vocals you’ll ever hear! We Love Martina! She does not have a large Album catalog because, if songs don’t advocate to help through a message, she doesn’t record.

When my son was little, he was very rowdy, always getting bruises. His teacher honestly thought he was being abused and called authorities. They came and investigated, kept an eye on things and realized that my son was just accident prone and rowdy. LOL I told his teacher that I was so happy she was looking out for my son. I would rather her (or anyone else) get it wrong a million times than have her be right once and someone was hurting a child and it not be reported.

I have seen several reaction videos for this song and several of the people reacting, either never figure out he and the group of children are angels or if they do figure it out they don’t acknowledge it. I love this song! Has always been on my playlist. You should also check out John Michael Montgomery The Little Girl & Jason Michael Carrol Alissa Lies.

Please react to her song "In My Daughter's Eyes" still an emotional song, but on the complete opposite end of spectrum. It is how I would describe my feelings toward my daughter if I could write or sing. 😎
