The new band member is Wolfgang Van Halen he is the son of Eddie Grey shirt. Wolfe is the drummer Alex VanHalens nephew. The singer is David Lee Roth. Wolfe is also the son of Valerie Bertanelli. (actress and food network star). Wolfe did a beautiful tribute to his father that you should check out. It's called Distance. It's truly beautiful. Makes me cry everytime.

This was the final lineup, bringing back the original lead singer, David Lee Roth, and replacing the original bassist Michael Anthony with Eddie's son Wolfgang - which brought up the number of Van Halens in the band to 3. (Brothers Eddie and Alex were always the core the of band). Wolfgang has a similar borderline supernatural musicality that his dad had: He played the guitar flawlessly on a couple of Van Halen songs at the Taylor Hawkins tribute show, shocking everyone.

Of course, but it’s a figure of speech, isn’t it? Not to be taken literally. Would be difficult to know how every single one in the audience felt anyway. I think most people acknowledged that he handled Michael Anthony’s VH duties to perfection, from a very young age. But if you never heard him on the guitar - and most people hadn’t - him filling his father’s shoes like that would still be quite the revelation.

A bit of a automotive history lesson to ease your confusion about the line "reach down between my legs and ease the seat back". In Ye Olden days, the lever to move the seat forward and back on most cars was just below the seat, between the legs. He just added the minaj line because she was in the audience and popular, it being an awards show and all.

Dave's voice is pretty much shot at this point, but the greatness of the band as a whole still shines through. Eddie's unbelievable guitar playing easily makes up for it, no problem.

3 of the 4 are original but also 3 of the 4 have the same last name Van Halen. Bassist is Eddie's younger son Wolfgang.His mom is Valerie Bertinelli, famous TV actress of One Day at a Time. Also, many guys had a crush on her back in the day when she played on that show.

I've seen current videos where Eddie's son took over his dad's role as lead guitarist after Eddie passed away. His dad taught him well

That bass player is Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang. Wolfie now has a nice career in his own band called Mammoth WVH. Original bass player Michael Anthony was replaced by Wolfgang in a spiteful manner because Michael Anthony was in a band with second Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar while Van Halen wasn't doing much for a decade and there was some bad blood with the Van Halen brothers between Sammy and Michael Anthony... The other brother being Drummer Alex Van Halen in this clip who formed the band with Eddie in the 70s.

This version sucks David Lee the singer has lost his voice and he's not controlling the stage I seen them in 1981 David Lee would fly across the stage he is a master in martial arts . He's barely moving in this video. I love you Britt I wait everyday for your new reactions you my do 1 rock video and its usually the worst performance they did or there old and lost there fire. Like here people who know Van Halen know this is crap. People are burnt out with Angelina Jordan it was cute when she was 9 but she just another singer. Eddie V. made his own guitars to create his own unique sound to go with his unique playing style. His son is as talented as Eddie if not more so in other ways.

A lot of guitarists do that for many reasons, but notably to fit their playing style and how they want the instrument to sound (to their tastes) and for the feel of the instrument. I will not even play a new instrument once I get it until I have it professionally set up to my standards. I also play the lightest guage strings .08s (most guitars are setup with 9s out of the box), but I've also been know to mix and match guages. I often will have the bridge pickup changed out, as well, to one that I know fits the tone I am looking for (often a Dimarzio "Evolution"... I like it's warm tone and bright highs.). My favorite guitar is an old 1980's Washburn, with an original Floyd Rose, that I had frankensteined, myself, back in the '90s. Still an awesome sounding beast to this day!

Eddie van halen is the goat of guitar not many guitarist can do what Eddie can do, over 4 decades of music, but that's not what makes him the goat, the guitar he used on van halen 2 rests with some bag Darrel of pantera, he was a heavy metal guitarist that was murdered on stage and at his funeral Eddie van halen put that guitar in the coffin with him! Darrel like everyone loved Eddie van halen and that gesture speaks so much for the man. Plus 2 time travel movies of the 80s mention eddie van Halen, i saw them in concert twice it actually was my first concert in 7th grade, eddies son is in the band mammoth and in November the surviving members of pantera and mammoth will be opening for mettalica

Eddie’s main skill was shredding in a way that was melodic and memorable. There were a million guys playing fast in the 80’s but they weren’t filling stadiums and selling 75 million records.

And he has the skill to play the drums the bass Rhythm lead and he sings And also plays keyboard and he just put out two albums you should go listen to that stuff too because son has some really good music with the video (everybody's going crazy) wolf gang Van Halen the name of the album is Mammoth the name of the band is Mammoth. Every time I hear Panama I think about the Drew Carey show. There was an episode where the company he worked for was trying to buy all the houses on his street, and he was the last holdout. So they sent his nemesis from work to get rid of him any way she could. So, she set up a huge sound system on the street and played Panama 24/7. She would DJ as well, stopping between songs and saying stuff like "that was Panama, by Van Halen. Up next we'll hear Panama, by Van Halen." It's the only thing I remember from that show.

The bass player is Eddie’s son Wolfgang from his wife Valerie Bertinelli. It was his idea to put the original band back together so his dad asked him to join the band and play bass. Michael Anthony was cool with it, he put a group together with Sammy Hagar.

The bassist: That is Eddie Ban Galen’s son, Wolfgang. He stepped in when the old bassist left. Wolfgang has his own band now, called Mammoth WVH. Well worth a listen. In fact, take a moment to check out his tribute song to his dad. It might bring tears. He’s a very accomplished musician, and can play his dad’s guitar parts like no one else.

just imagine, some of these bands from the late 60's 70's early 80's were playing in coliseums or arena's. inside. smoking was allowed, can you imagine the smoke level that developed, and it was not only cigarette smoke, depending on where you sat, you could get high from the secondary smoke. yes, this happened to me, didn't smoke at all. nuffen, but i passed out ROFL. and missed the whole concert.

You should do some reactions to Mammoth WVH. That is Wolfgang Van Halen (bass player in this video) band, and Wolf played every instrument on his album and sings. The music videos for "Don't Back Down" and "Another Celebration at the End of the World" play on the fact that Wolf plays all the instruments on the album. His son is super talented.

I remember back in the 80s they came to San Antonio and they came out on the stage and they were so drunk they could not stand up or play at all. So they left the stage and no one got a concert. Everyone was pissed and we wanted to be refunded. I loved listening to Van Halen a lot but when they did that it was messed up.

There's actually three van Helen's in this performance 10:59 Eddie Van Helen guitar, Alex Van Helen drums. And now wolf Van Halen Bass Eddie's son. Who now has is own band, Mammoth WVH. You should check out.

This might sound weird, but I liked Van Halen more when they were the Big bar band in the mid-1970s. Every time they they would come to a bar in our area we knew it was going to be one hell of a Rowdy night. The band even though very fun to watch in concert now , but you should have seen Dave then he was a total nut job crazy as hell.

David Lee Roth came back as the lead singer of Van Halen after Sammy was let go as the singer and yet Sammy's voice is as strong as ever even now. When they performed in this video David had lost his incredible voice.

Nikki Minaj reference. I would just say that is Dave being Dave. He recognizes Nikki's assets, so to speak aka as her "electric hips" The line is. "Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off of it Ah, you reach down, between my legs and ease the seat back She's blinding, I'm flying" Even though the lyric is really benign, just hearing him say that did something to a hormonal teen back in the 80s. Dave was all about the ladies back in the 80s and we wanted to be like him. LOL

Yeah this is like 30 years since their debut in 1978, Dave was just years away from retirement and eddie years away from the consequences of smoking..... Van Halen is the band, the brothers drummer Alex, guitarist Eddie and his son Wolfie i Michael Anthony on bass and off course Dave on vocals. Watch an earlier version of the song, huge difference.

you really must listen to aurora her "murder song (1 2 3 4 5) its dark but just unbelievable . she sang it at the 2015 noble peace prize concert. she's from Norway. also from the same concert is a song called "Runaway" which she wrote at age 11. at the time of the concert she's about age 19. I promise you will never be the same after you hear her. her live recordings are by far the best as she can impart so much emotion. so many hits like "seed" written about a Cree Indian proverb the music video for this is great to watch running and running with the wolves is great too. plus a newer one "no cure for me" she wrote about growing up and being different and realising how she does not need a cure its great to be different and so she wrote the song for others just like her
