Elvis loved his little girl! He named his airplane "Lisa Marie", I've been in it. Tragically she was at Graceland when her dad passed. She ran around screaming "My Daddy's dead, my Daddy's dead". So touching and so very sad. RIP Elvis and Lisa Marie 🙏

Elvis originally recorded the song in 1967. Lisa Marie later added her vocals and it was remixed and re-recorded. Lisa Marie stated that she could feel her Dad's spirit guiding her as she recorded it. She has a similar tonal quality as her Dad; their voices blend together beautifully. Those of us who were alive when Lisa Marie was born and watched/listened to her over the years felt a very real sense of loss when she passed. Lisa Marie did this tribute to honor her dad on the 25 Anniversary of his death. Lisa absolutely adored her dad as he adored her she was the most important thing in his life & she was like a miniature Elvis she took after him she had his fun quirky personality & looked a lot like her dad when he was young. LMP was only 9 yrs old when her daddy died. 😢 They compliment each other so beautifully putting this together. My favorite duet is In the Ghetto. Lisa loved that song. Lisa passed away couple days after Elvis's bday Jan 12 2023. Still heartbroken 💔.

Yes, Lisa Marie, Elvis’ daughter, passed last year (2023). Her voice compliments Elvis’ voice so beautifully. It’s a very emotional piece. Would love to hear you React to ‘Fever’ in the Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert. He was always amused that he only had to twitch & the ladies would start screaming, so while singing Fever, he is enjoying playing with the audience, with such a lovely smile. Lisa Marie was only 9 years old when her dad died. This was very emotional for her. Lisa started crying when recording this, but she said she felt at peace and a closeness with her dad singing along with him. Lisa died a short time after celebrating the success of the Baz Lerman's movie Elvis. Lisa Marie never got over the death of her beloved son, Benjamin, by suicide. Elvis never really got over the death of his beloved mother, Gladys, while he was in the Army. I think that haunted him for the rest of his short life .very, very sad.😥

This is beautiful. Elvis’s favorite music was Gospel. You should hear him sing “How Great Thou Art” and another good one that’s not gospel is “ In the Ghetto “. Yes Lisa Marie did pass.

Jane H commenting …. I always end up crying. Lisa Marie singing with her beloved daddy. She was just 9 when he died, & she saw him dead on the bathroom floor & according to Jerry Schilling, a close friend of Elvis (a true friend), said that little girl was just walking around & around saying “My daddy’s dead”. Then less than two years later, Vernon, Elvis’ father died of a heart attack, so she suffered another great loss in her life, with her grandfather passing. Lisa Marie had a lot of issues growing up & tragically ended up having the same prescription meds addiction like her father. Her son, Benjamin took his own life when he was 27, & she never got over that. She died recently of a cardiac arrest due to post-op complications. She was 54. Elvis’ beloved mother died when he was 22. His mother was just 46 years old & she died of a heart attack, & his identical twin brother was stillborn. So much tragedy in that family. May they all Rest In Peace.
