Interesting that foss is used in Yorkshire too for a waterfall. Just shows how much the Vikings influenced the world.

Once you get to the top above Skogafoss, if you follow the path up you come across a further 4 (maybe 5?) waterfalls, and you can walk back several miles. I didn't get right to the end because it was getting late, but definitely worth doing if you ever go back. It's a beautiful hike and the other waterfalls are amazing.

Reynisfjara is VERY dangerous if you underestimate the sea and the undertow. It doesn't matter how strong of a swimmer you are, it will pull you out and OFF the shelf and under it and spin you around... be careful and listen to the volunteers that patrol the area.

You get black sand beaches in the Canary Islands as well, just a bit warmer there, but that said Iceland is definitely a place I need to visit, nice to see you having a good time.

Maybe once in a lifetime chance to see something and I would do it regardless of weather. Again, a great chance for all of us to see Iceland. Always have a huge respect for the ocean. Rip tides are often fatal.

I'm so jealous...Iceland has been my dream for a long time now. It's so pretty (and I don't mind the weather). But I'll be going to Shetland Islands in May next year (which is between Iceland, Faroe Islands and Norway). Will definitely be a fun trip nevertheless.

Hi there again! Nice to see your trip. Wow you witnessed a very lucky total idiots at the black sand beach. They are extremely lucky to be alive! What a f…#!!!#** Such a disrespectful behavior. This is what I absolutly hate about the tourism. They should have been arrested and thrown out of the country. People like them put our rescue teams at risk - a rescue team a group of unpaid volunteers. Our most valuable peoples.
