Hi Scott. I’m a Scottish HGV driver. I really like that you show how tight HGV drops, turning and general manoeuvring can be. You seem very happy and humble. Full respect too your attitude, driving and reversing skills. Even in the tightest spots you seem to stay positive. Nice one mate.

Martin Bennett Scotland is a weird place , the further north you go the more English accents you hear , they now call Sky little England , but when you talk to them they nearly all say the same thing , England is overcrowded !

At the end , I swear thats the farm I saw in another HGV video where the guy went the wrong way and got stuck and needed to be towed lol then comes down the opposite way to you so has to go past the farm entrance then do a U turn further down

The exception is the A9 mate. You can do 50mph all the way from Perth to Inverness. It’s the only single carriageway road in Scotland you can do that.

As a Scottish trucker I’m on the A70 regularly, you have to crack on and hold you’re own you’re side of the road. Oh and the speed limit on that road is 56😏

I had to wait until today to catch up on this vid but it was a good long one so all is good although ended up being even longer for me as I had to keep pausing it as there have been some dodgy scrotes floating about in my road at dodgy o'clock so probably looking to rob something. I've never seen any HGV other than heavy or wide doing less than 50-60 on A or B roads in Scotland Scott lol, some cases the tanker drivers up here are doing upto 70 as it can be a pain to get past them on a straight

Glad you noticed the speed limits here - loads of HGV drivers just utterly ignore them and get away with it. Remember if you're on the A1 single carriageway in Scotland that the static speed cameras are set for the 40MPH limit. If you drive through them at 50 then you'll get a ticket.

Thats why we avoid A70 because of the bridge unless you're less than 14ft lol, personally i'd use the A75/A76 next time, there are no low bridges on that road, only a couple of narrowish places but if you're driving to conditions its perfectly fine
