As many will explain, this song is a part of a trilogy. It’s about Suga killing his more ruthless younger self who was partially motivated by fame. As he has grown he was become more grounded and less focused on proving himself.

I love reactions like this when you go through a lot of the same song or theme or artist. It's great to get to see it all starting with the official recording like audio or MV and then background and explanations and behind the scenes etc and then live performances. I think it's a great way for baby Army to catch up and get a better picture and understanding of BTS and their members and music and lyrics and their over all artistry.

there is a Korean movie titled, “Masquerade” (Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King) who has the plot of the king looking for a “double” who will act in his place to avoid assassination. you may want to check that one out.. the way Yoongi thiught of the story boad not just for Daechwita, but for Haegeum and Amygdala before hand and right of the bat knowing he wants a trilogy.. he is so into his art that he has planned it all a long time ago.. looking forward for you to check the 2 remaining MVs for the trilogy.. so excited for Jin’s episode next.. love your reactions so much!

If you want to know more about King Gwanghae, it is a movie from 2012 called Masquerade. The plot isn't the reality but shows the King struggles with his situation. There is also a historical drama, King's Face from 2014. If you're interested you should watch the movie, cos the drama presents all his life, so its very long. Hope that is helpful, enjoy watching.
