piranhas the fastest way to kill yourself in these types of movies are Sharks or piranhas, Or jump off of a tall building, lets test deaths design if its not our turn to die, in saw 2 the guy tried to kill himself but failed this guy tried to hang himself but failed, lets try something else, sounds dark but lets test deaths design

Yeah while I’m excited I’m also annoyed that they’re undoing the perfect ending to the franchise, like I trust the writers but there’s just no way it can be tied together as perfectly as 5

Well they didn't rent on anything but they did also not DH people. So they look about two decades older than they should

In the hair salon scene, has anyone noticed and realized the boys have numbers on their uniforms? The boy in the red uniform has the number 9 on it and the boy in the blue uniform has the number 20 on it. Both numbers multiplied into the number "180", which is the number of the airplane from the first Final Destination film.

This movie certainly was released in 3D. Remember seeing it in the cinemas and being excited to see a new movie in one of my fav franchise's and in 3D Safe to say it was pretty dissapointing haha. But i assure you, number 5 brings it back

See, this was supposed to be THE Final Destination, just as the title says. However, it was so bad - the reviews and the fans were so negative about it - they couldn't let it be the final film. So they took a lot of the criticisms, and listened to what fans wanted to see in a FD movie, and that's how we got FD5.

They made FD 5 because this movie made a lot of money:) Most profitable FD movie out of all. It's insane. But they prob thought: ' well might as well make a good one'

Craig Perry did an interview with CineBinge (it's the more recent of the two on their KZfaq channel) and he breaks down why and how FD4 turned out the way it did. I definitely recommend giving it a watch. Luckily they bounced back big time with FD5 and have gone on record to say that the new movie will be worth the wait.

So about the pool thing? That's real, and it happened to a girl in a jacuzzi and that poor girl survived having her intestines sucked out of her bottom. They changed the shape of jacuzzi bottoms to make it harder for people's butts to plug the drain to avoid having something awful like that from ever happening again.

Honestly when I watched this movie in theaters I was so pissed off and disappointed at the end that when 5 was released, I refused to watch it. I didn't really watch 5 until last year because I was bored and had some time to kill and I was happy that I finally did. Definitely leaves you with a better taste in your mouth than 4 did

You know how Saw 3D (Saw VII) was truly a masterpiece of shxt, and Saw VI was just truly a masterpiece of the original seven films in the Saw franchise? Well, that's FD4 and FD5 for the Final Destination franchise, but the other way around - the penultimate FD movie is the shixxiest, while the ultimate FD movie is a magnificent masterpiece. Speaking of Saw: Saw X was amazing! Really hoping for a Saw XI. And honestly, Tobin Bell deserves an Oscar for his portrayal as John Kramer in Saw X.

I love how In “the window” none of the flags were moving an inch. That and the curtain line in the middle 😂 I can’t. Congrats on making it through the 4th movie! The 5th is MUCH better. I promise you!

I could write an entire book as to why FD4 went completely sideways. 25 pages of reshoots got us from unreleasable to the studio being willing to release. And it shockingly made $206m worldwide (the online reports are incorrect). Oh, and as for me being impressed with the script? It was a strike script, meaning it was submitted "as is" before the WGA went on strike. It was quite literally ripped from Eric Bress's hands, and he didn't touch it after. Please don't blame him. As for the budget? With reshoots, $46m. Sigh. There were just SO MANY things that went wrong. The stories are both shocking and darkly comic. But I'll only tell them if I'm deposed -- it was THAT fucked up. I hope you find FD5 the act of redemption that it was intended to be. I appreciate the reactions!

The reason this movie sucks is because all the deaths are CGI and not practical, also it was filmed for 3D which is just corny as hell. I saw it in the theater in 2009 in 3d and not even that was enough to save it lol

No, the graphics and FX were just the bat droppings on top of a sundae made of maggots. The storyline, the high-speed pacing of the story going too fast just to sacrifice the total lack of background and character development for any of the characters except the security guard (Mykelti Williamson, Bubba from Forrest Gump). The racist⁰ POS had more character development than the four main characters in the friend group, the worst and most stiff acting with the most boring, useless drivel for dialogue; and then there's the stupid exrea flashes of clues, which he's right about... they serve as nothing but spoilers.

I just remember this movie for the most insane tonal whiplashes, like it has these two characters act racist, then OMG cookies to celebrate not dying! and then a character having sex with a woman whose boobs are bouncing in the camera, and then OMG ice cream!

They sank all their money into making it in 3-D and shortened everything else to the detriment of the series. The characters all sucked, didn't care if any of them died. And the cheesy stupid cliches to indicate exactly how they would die. They literally didn't even name all the characters, some of the characters are literally just named racist, racist's wife, and milf... The 5th is better than this one, at least. The 5th one is most people's favorite out of the franchise actually, although it isn't my favorite. It definitely redeemed this trash heap of an installment. Also, the car wash girl was in Teen Wolf, that's where I recognized her from, at least. Lastly, the pool scene actually happened to a young girl, which raised a lot of controversy. For the most part, the deaths are inventive in the series but that one wasn't. Also, I'm glad you cut out those scenes with the idiots in them. This was the 1st one where I wanted a majority of them to pass away because I didn't care about any of them. George was the most likable but he caused his own issues, now that's saying something about the rest of the cast. And we appreciate you suffering through this one for our sakes! You are such a trooper!

David R. Ellis directed FD 4 and also FD 2. Other films he made were Homeward Bound 2, Cellular, Snakes on a Plane, Asylum and Shark Night. He actually died in South Africa several years ago at age 60. You’re absolutely right in hating #4, we all do. No one can argue otherwise. Easily the worst of all 5. Too short, no character development, goofier tone, nothing substantial added to the franchise, unnecessary racism and atrocious CGI. It was in 3D for theaters, as was 5. But 5 gets back on track to some extent and is worth watching. After that, we’re just salivating for updates on 6. It’s supposedly coming out next year. Fingers crossed.

@@deathgrinderb3284 Cellular wasn’t that bad IMHO. Snakes on a Plane was meant to be wild/dumb carnage and I didn’t mind that either. Never saw HB 2 or Asylum. Shark Night meanwhile embodied the same mood of Ellis’ other films, although the plot came off as too unreasonably unrealistic for me; even for the wacky horror settings he was known for. For spoiler’s sake to anyone else possibly reading this reply, I can’t go into further detail about anything I mentioned.

I think this one was part of the wave of awful CGI 3D movies where basically most of the scenes were made with the 3D effects as the priority and everything else (acting, writing, logic...) was a distant afterthought. It feels gimmicky because 3D WAS a gimmick.

For real, I was surprised when I saw this playlist and I could not for the death of me figure out how did it have 5 movies in it and only after watching the first 3 did I remember the racetrack, mall and cafe scenes. Forgettable and pushing way too hard into the 3D. They most definitely blew most of the budget on the 3D effects

4 is terrible but they apologized fully with 5. Totally made up for it. Disturbing fact: This was actually the most expensive movie at the time. The budget was $40 million and still ended up looking cheap as hell. Also...fun fact...the security guard is Bubba from Forrest Gump.
