True story- back when the first Harry Potter film was released, they sold a toy Nimbus 2000. It was hard plastic broomstick kid sized. It took batteries and would vibrate and shake when kids pretended to ride on it. The people making them didn’t consider that these kids were putting vibrating rods between their legs. It was discontinued shortly after it went on the market. My daughter got one for her birthday that year from her nana.

In the book, there's an extra scene with Cedrick's father being so proud that he beat Harry in Quidditch that he kinda starts talking smack, but he's simply praising Cedrick, so it's not like intentionally disrespectful. You know what I mean though right guys? When your child does well and you talk him up and don't realise you kinda talking smack by mistake. Cedrick actually TRIES to tell his father that the only reason his team won was because the dementors got involved in the match and attacked Harry, so it wasn't actually a fair win. But Dad was not listening. He was just SO proud that his son bested Harry Potter. It kind of like...imagine your son is 1v1-ing Micheal Jordan and Jordan slips on something on the floor, allowing your son to make a great game winning shot. Then you are so proud that anything anyone says is irrelevant, because your son won the game by beating a legend.

At the end of Chamber of Secrets when Hermione came back after being petrified there was a little awkward moment between her and Ron and they shook hands instead of hugging- there was a little something there In the Prisoner of Azkaban when Harry is introduced to Buckbeak the Hippogriff, Hermione reflexively grabs Ron’s hand nervously And in this one it’s even more obvious, Hermione was upset that Ron didn’t even consider asking her til closer to the time of the Yule Ball, making her feel like a last resort. It made Ron jealous and confused when he saw her with Krum There are more obvious clues to the confusing feelings between Ron and Hermione as it goes on

The book was too complicated to make into a movie, so they simplified it a bit... From what I gathered, Bartie Crouch Jr. was the one who gave up Neville Longbottom's parents (they were aurors - dark wizard catchers, loyal to Dumbledore) to Voldemort ... Neville's parents were tortured by death eaters (Voldemort's goons) into insanity, that was why Neville was upset when he saw the Cruciatos torture curse performed in class - it was used on his parents. Neville was raised by his grandmother and visits his parents at an insane asylum for wizards. So, Bartie Crouch sends his own son to prison after Crouch Jr. was exposed as a death eater... Later, Crouch's wife was dying and u ased a house -elf and polyjuice potion when she visited Azkaban prison to trade places w/ her son, Crouch Jr... Crouch's wife died in Azkaban from her illness as Crouch Jr. while the real Crouch Jr. escaped and would find Wormtail and a weakened Voldemort, who was using the giant snake Nagini to maintain a physical form. Voldemort determined that the only way to restore his body & powers was w/ Harry Potter's blood. Crouch Jr. and Wormtail also discovered that an auror, Mad-Eye Moody was asked to teach at Hogwarts, so they attacked him at his home and took the real Mad-Eye Moody prisoner, while Crouch Jr. assumed his identity and went to Hogwarts to teach. At some point, Bartie Crouch recognized that Mad-Eye was actually his son Crouch Jr. and before he could raise the alarm, he was killed... or committed suicide, uncertain... The problem at the end of this movie is that the Ministry of Magic refused to believe that Voldemort has returned to power... so Dumbledore made his speech at Hogwarts defying the Ministry's orders to stay quiet. The big question is how Harry Potter was able to repel Voldemort's death curse (there is no counter curse for it) and how the wands conjured up Voldemort's last 4 victims from outside our reality - Cedric, the groundskeeper, and then James & Lily Potter. Voldemort revealed that it was Harry's mom Lily Potter who cast the spell to protect Harry as a baby and sacrificed herself to give him the ultimate protection using 'old magic' ... As a result, Voldemort's death curse rebounded when he tried to kill Harry as a baby... and was repelled once again in the graveyard.

As someone who was 14 when the first book came out, and then literally grew up with books and the movies, even going to the midnight releases of both, it just warms my heart to see reactions like Leo's to the franchise. Just pure joy and excitement. GoF is still my favorite book of the seven, too.

Harry did survive the killing curse. It's just that, in the Harry Potter universe, if someone sacrifices themselves in order to save another, or even multiple people, the love it took to do that creates a magical protection, where any spell used will not effect them at it should. This was previously unknown and forgotten ancient magic, and had never been done before in recorded history, at least with the killing curse. The curse however would still hurt, it just wouldn't kill as it was supposed to, and even physically touching the protected person could hurt the villain trying to harm them.

YAY, finally! I've been waiting for months (since April) to see the next HP reaction! This is one of my top 3 favorites out of the entire series. The humor is so relatable as most of us can recall our awkward drama filled hormonal teen years - LOL! They go more into that aspect in film #6 (The Half Blood Prince). OK, after this is #5 Order of The Phoenix... Oh my, I CAN'T WAIT to see your reaction to the lovely Delores Umbridge in the next movie. By the way, Harry is 14 in this chapter. Just remember that each movie coincides with his age. He started his 1st year at Hogwarts at 11, his 2nd year he was 12, for his 3rd year he was 13, & so on... Students attend Hogwarts from ages 11 - 17 (total of 7 years of training). While they tried to keep the ages of the characters as close to the ages of the actors, obviously there were times when more than a year passed from the previous film. You can tell by how much their faces have matured between the premieres.

Harry and voldy are like pioneers in magic. That curse would kill anyone but Harry. The wands are twins garrys moms sacrifice in his blood which voldy just used to resurrect himself. (Thats what keeps Harry safest at his aunts her blood carries lily's protection) Harry and voldy can see in each others heads, speak snake, etc. They're fights are as Dumbledore describes to be beyond what is known of magic and wands. Thevve effectively tethered their fates to one another more than any others in history. Voldy can't explain Harry's dumb luck while Dumbledore guesses and explains little by little to Harry each year. Dumbledore only tries to give Harry enough info to help as he fears too much might push him in the wrong direction. Dumbledore knows Harry has to keep that same thing guiding him that he had in the first story in front of the mirror. Harry has to remain selfless righteous ect

That updraft can pick up light materials, like small pieces of paper, and toss it in the air before it can be fully burnt away. This is exactly how burning embers are spread from fires, allowing fires to "jump" distances because they fly away and land in another area potentially creating another fire.
