Whoa.. 😅 this was a LOT to take in for a first experience..I'LL SAY THAT! I'll be much more ready the 2nd time around for sure.. I had to adjust here. The music though & the contrast of light hearted vibes to the dark sinister meaning behind it all is so FIRE!!! I didn't understand the hype until "Happy Day in Hell" started playing... I'm here for the ride! Also to anyone taking the time to read this...I feel like this reaction isn't my best. You gotta watch the pilot if you haven't already, it acts as a prequel to the series proper and fills in some of information that isn't immediately clear in the first episode.

Now, this is how you respect a musical! I've seen some reactions to this show that make my ears burn. People who do not like musicals shouldn't force themselves to watch a show they're not into for viewers. Nobody has fun. Thank you for your always entertaining and insightful input on the soundtrack! I love Hazbin Hotel. Our main lead is like a misplaced Disney princess; but since she is half angel...it still makes sense. Each episode has 2 musical numbers, which are definitely highlights of each episode (so long as you don't mind some ballads). It's definitely cool that you've picked up the Radio vs TV "rivalry." It will play a much bigger part in the next episode.

Even Saxophone is a woodwind 💀 I've been playing alto sax for about 7-8 years now, and hearing that made me simultaneously upset/j and also very amused cause my band director once referred to us as the secret woodwinds 😭 Anyways, seeing how much you liked these songs, I think you'll really enjoy seeing all of the different genres this show does :)

This series' premise can legitimately be summed up as 'What if the princess of hell was ACTUALLY a Disney Princess?' Get used to the sudden whiplash between dark/serious/raunchy character moments followed by swelling brass and Broadway vibes. It will happen a lot.

The story of Adam and Lilith is the actual story. Eve was created from the rib bone of Adam after Lilith was banished from the Garden Of Eden for not wanting to be bound to Adam's will (ex. not wanting to have sex below him). Its based on it but the details are vague and changed a little in this story

Cool to see someone new liking the show. I can tell you regarding the music that the cast of the show is an all star broadway ensemble so its musical stardom galore. Plus one of the 2 composers for the musical numbers is the one half of the band "The Living tombstone" if you're familiar with them. And yeah if there's one way to describe the main character Charlie, its like a Disney Princess who lives in Hell. The show itself also has a pretty neat history. It didnt come from any industry veteran, it came straight from the minds of the internet. The creator, Vivienne Medrano aka Vivziepop was just an artist on KZfaq with a love of classic animation and broadway musicals. They made webcomics, animated music videos, and had created a plethora of characters for all their projects. Some which where created as early as middle school ended up being used in Hazbin Hotel. They spent 3 years with a bunch of friends and acquaintances to make an original fully animated 30 minute Hazbin Hotel short film that they uploaded back in 2019 to massive success. It went viral! And it caught the eye of a smaller Hollywood movie studio (specifically A24 which has produced movies like "Everything everywhere all at once") who gave her the green light to produce a series with Prime signing on to distribute it. So even before the series got its full release last month it was already the internets darling.

Something important to note about the first song Happy Day in Hell, the voice actress/ singer actually dude that song in basically a single take from start to finish. Vivienne talks about it in one of her interviews.

For more context please watch the pilot. Its a schame rhey didn't put it on prime as E0 on there. It came out 4 years ago so new entries wont know where and why they would qatch it. Its on KZfaq and a soft Canon. Happy Watching ^°^ cant wait for more

I love the focus on the music! So many people react to the story, etc, and that's great, but I love the musical side of things! A couple things: Yes absolutely, react to the pilot! The songs are wonderful, (As are many of the fan songs that came from it) And second, the Series music was written by Sam Haft (of The Living Tombstone) and Andrew Underberg. They're a brilliant team, and put out an absolutely amazing soundtrack for the show.

if youre gonnna watch it, you missed the pilot. It shouldnt, but it acts as Chapter 0 before what happened on Episode 1. It explains how Alastor gets there and how all of the hotel staff actually end up there.

Vivziepop is using 7th Deadly Sins with this source of information material. Just like that in her hell you have 7th rings which are one under another and pride ring is on top has 9 cycles 1. Pentagram city, 2.Imp city; ... Lucifer (Fallen Angel of Pride), Satan (Devil of Wrath), Leviathan (Dragon of Envy), Asmodeus (Nephil of Lust), Mammon (Demon of Greed), Belphegor (Demon of Sloth), Beelzebub (Fallen Angel of Gluttony) But they all are mostly not angels too.

It seems crazy to witness you reacting to a Broadway star casting series that have some outstanding characters, actors, score and more out there😄 I hope you check out thr sister show of Helluva Boss that take place in the same universe just different characters and plot.
