She's pretty clever, she picked up on the character Ethan fairly fast. I think the guy with the rash was solely there to help hide the character Ethan's appearance, but your wife wasn't falling for it. Realized something was off.

I could tell she was onto Ethan being a creep but she was also grouping him with Sullivan who just kind of popped up with the Hives. So I tried to deflect a little. I knew the next episode would prove her right to suspect soon enough so it wasn't the best poker face haha.

I love her thought process that the castaways would have RUN INTO PEOPLE LIVING IN THE JUNGLE, incorporated them into their group, and then just continued on with the plot lines like that wouldn't have been a massive topic of conversation among the characters for like half a season. Lol

@@hulubuluhejhej2721 not necessarily. Purgatory speculation wasn’t uncommon during season 1 when the show aired. Plus she has a fairly good track record of calling out the twists pretty early.

Loving the theorizing of the very popular season one theory that they are all in purgatory. Someone needs to share with Mrs. Movies that the shows producers debunked that theory in season one. 🌴🛫🌄🛬🌴

Thought this was an incredible episode, loved the chemistry naveen and mira had in their scenes , was a gut wrencher when mira furlan passed away a few months back, such a talented actress. On a lighter note, am loving the Sawyer frustration. 😄👏👏❤🖤

I like the Purgatory idea, it's my solution to the David Lynch film "Mulholland Dr." which you should watch. And I fully agree on Sawyer, never liked him, not even a little. I do like that he has a nickname for everyone, Freckles, Stay Puft.

Aloha, sending you guys love from Kaneohe town Hawaii. I remember when they filmed Lost here in Hawaii. A lot of the locations were filmed in Wailua, Kualoa, and in future episodes you'll see Waikiki (when you see characters in Korea, they just changed the road signs in Honolulu to Korean.)

One reason is that up to this point even the writers didn't know where they were ultimately going with the show. They were putting lots of feelers out this first season.

@@kevinerose Kind of. JJ and Damon essentially came up with a "Lost Bible" in the first season that laid out the general ideas for the show going forward but not the specifics. And some story arcs were changed or abandoned while new ones propped up. That Damon always went the unconventional route is what makes it theory proof though.

@@Xervello Yeah, I feel like they were struggling with the 'monster' idea for a long time which is why it disappeared from most of the 1st season. By time they showed the 'monster' again was when they had it the main concept figured out.

@@kevinerose Nah, even this early on, I've seen plenty of other channels rolling their eyes or scoffing at anything Kate does. It's actually a pretty funny trend that I look forward to with new reactors 😂 But that's why this particular reaction series has been unique so far. Really curious if her feelings ever change.

I'd be searching the island for food. Coconuts, papayas, mangoes, guavas, bananas. If they're in the Pacific there will be casava. It takes a few times of boiling to remove the toxins but even if you can't catch fish there should be plenty of food in the island. Only problem with eating too much coconut is it's a laxative.

Ethan in the jungle is creepy. The surprise that Ethan was not what he let appear would have been even greater if Ethan had played golf instead of Sullivan in episode 9. Make Ethan as sympathetic as possible and then make him the scariest with the discovered he wasn't on the plane in episode 10. But it also works like the writers did. And when will we have a kind word for Sawyer ? 😂😂

Re: Purgatory. It didn't take long for many folks on forums and social media to posit that the Island was, indeed, Purgatory. So much so that the creators and producers of the show held a press conference to deny that's what it was. As the show got more and more crazy, they insisted that there were scientific logical answers for everything on the show. That's what made the last season so disappointing. They set a high bar then failed to meet it.

Claire is just decent. She’s not overly dramatic. She’s not an exciting character. She’s just nice. Emile, the actress, is very good she just doesn’t have much to do. But when you have so many more complex characters you do need that more vanilla character to keep the ensemble anchored.

I get what he's putting up, but what does "take that action" mean under these trade-of-approximate-value circumstances? What are the other 2 putting up against his sunscreen and flashlight? Do they have their own stashes of sunscreen and flashlights too? Is that the new standard currency? And if he loses, since 2 people took him up on the bet, does that mean he has to cough up 4 tubes of sunscreen and 2 flashlights? Does he even have that many? It's like this dialog was written by someone who knows a few key betting phrases but doesn't actually understand how betting works.

I do feel like Ethan’s reveal doesn’t work as well as it could have. I mean he was only in two episodes so obviously he was the one not on the manifest. He should have been in more episodes. Before this big reveal.

Many reactors seem to have a theory that Ethan is Alex. Ethan looks more or less of same age as Rousseau...so he possibly cannot be Alex

Mira Furlan was born in 1955. William Mapother was born in 1965. Given the difference in ages that other actors on this show who play parents and children, Rousseau could plausibly play Ethan's mother.
