"Nothing." Best line.

That whole situation was in the 1965 Alex Haley Malcolm X autobiography too. 😊 I always imagined Malcolm X delivering the line like Denzel said it in the movie. In the behind the scenes, Denzel and Spike Lee had a passionate argument about how Denzel should deliver that line. Spike imagined Malcolm X being a lot more rude in his delivery of the line😅

Great reaction, very few react to this film and i'm glad you did. The fred hampton movie probably took some cues from this film.

13:33 something about that scene that really chills me is that it's Banes who turns on Malcolm Bane who helped save and welcomed him into the right path the 2 even reading and studying together as student & mentor There's just something so cruel about how all of that just fades away in one conversation like Elijah Mohammed's greed & jealousy towards Malcolm has poised everyone around him leaving them just as corrupted as he is

22:29 ❤ Peace sister. This is why it was so unfortunate that Spike Lee didn’t or couldn’t fit Malcolm X’s sister Ella Collins into the movie. Malcolm couldn’t afford to pay for himself to make the Hajj to Mecca, so he definitely couldn’t afford to bring the whole family. Malcolm’s sister Ella Collins paid for Malcolm’s trip to Mecca. He no longer had NOI funding. Ella Collins had been one of the main people who introduced Malcolm to Islam and NOI through letters while Malcolm was in jail because that’s what his family got into while he was locked up from 1946-1952. Previously, when Ella and Malcolm were children in the 1920s, his parents had been followers and disciples of Black Nationalist/Pan Africanist Marcus Garvey (Garvyites) Even though Marcus Garvey was exiled by the Feds back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 in 1927, his followers kept on preaching his message. In the late 1940’s, Malcolm’s siblings had switched from followers of Marcus Garvey to followers of Elijah Mohammad. Elijah created a black American version of Islam that we call The NOI (Nation of Islam). In the 1965 Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley, Malcolm spoke eloquently of Ella in his own words. The 1995 PBS doc (Released 30 years after Malcolm’s death) had Ella in it. She, along with Malcolm’s siblings and wife were still alive back then. It’s on KZfaq BTW. The 2023 Hulu series Genius Martin Malcolm X featured an actress playing Ella. I really enjoyed that because it helped me visualize their early years together before Malcolm went to jail. That series was done by Canadian Jamaican director X who directed the 2018 movie “Superfly” and dozens of best music videos from the late 1990s and early 2000s

You bold for reacting to this movie sis 👀!! Of that alone I HAD to subscribe!! You should react to “Judas and the Black Messiah” and “Panther 1995” it’s about the Black Panther Party and actually has some of the same actors like Angela Bassett and new people in it like Chris Rock, Bobby brown and some more black celebrities. Also there were a few inaccuracies from the movie and even from Malcolm himself. They didn’t mention in the movie Malcolm wanted to come back to the Nation of Islam because he realized the government were trying set him up. The Government literally planted agents in the Nation of Islam and in Malcolm’s organization….

Thank you for Subscribing🤗 I’ve already seen Judas & the Black Messiah. I went to theaters to see it. Loved it! I’ll check out Panther 1995. I can totally see him wanting to go back! The foundation that sparked his growth was bc of them, but one thing our government knows how to do is infiltrate and destroy within.

You should watch Bro. Nuri interview on the breakfast club. He said Malcolm apologized to Honorable Elijah Muhammad before his death. And wanted to come back into the Nation of Islam. Honorable Elijah Muhammad told him he would have to put out some of the fires he started first. Who's to say, that night at The Audubon Theatre and Ballroom that he was attempting to put out those fires and the enemy knew this. There was a white cop who died last year in New York. He admitted that the FBI and NYPD orchestrated the assassination on our dear brother Malcolm. NOT THE NATION OF ISLAM.

Fun fact: as much as I love and revere Malcolm X, that wasn’t his house, it belonged to the NOI 😬. So technically, she could raise her voice all she wanted too 😅. Great conclusion to your reaction. Maybe, please, consider One Night in Miami, directed by Regina King.

@ I’m a Fan: To answer your question, no Malcolm didn’t get a chance to say his speech the day he was killed.. There used to be some audio online years ago from that day but I’m not sure if it still is. He could be heard saying Hold it, Hold it, Hold it, HOLD IT then the first shot went off people started screaming and it cut off..

I love this film but it pisses me off too how can you hate and betray someone that's all for you sacrifice for you. And unfortunately many black people want to believe in something/someone so bad they will glad you overlook the bullshit and fraud in them the truth hurts. I feel for Malcolm cause i know hiw it feels to be down for someone and a cause just to find out it's all bullshit and fake. And it's crazy how these snakes and frauds have all these followers and people still bigging them up.

If audacity was a person: ..Can you please step out of the bubble you seem to be in. It's like you view everything thru a super biased perspective no offense but I know I'm in no position to even share any negative opinions. How are you so critical of this hero? As if you are in any position to be critical. You sound crazy.
