The movie "The Wall" is the Pink Floyd album "The Wall" in video. "Comfortably Numb" is my all time favorite song by my all time favorite band.

Boomtown Rats frontman & Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof plays Pink, later he would be instrumental in getting PF members back together for LIve8 in 2005 with their founder member Roger waters after their infamous bust-up. The 'poetry' the teacher reads out in class are the lyrics to 'Money' from PF legendary album, Dark Side of the Moon.

"Mommy issues, school, government" - "all in all they were all just bricks in the wall". The story of how someone loses, or doesn't develop, the ability to communicate therefore becomes isolated by building a mental wall. You did really well picking up on the story line - great reaction👍👍

I love how you sprinkle in these totally random reactions; please keep it up! I can count on one hand how many times I've tried pot, and watching this at a friend's place in the 90s was one of them. It was NOT fun, but I'll never forget it!

Oh my gosh, you never smoke pot and then you decide to smoke and watch THE WALL?? I'm not surprised you said it was "NOT fun", lol. Geeze, I'm surprised you're not in a mental hospital! :D

@@mostlyharmless1right?! When I first got into Pink Floyd (never listened to the wall, only knew another brick) I thought “OH a brand new album to listen to when my edibles I just took finally kick in!!!”…..Jesus Christ… I realized that I have been stuck behind the wall my entire life and I will be forever…then TEAR DOWN THE WALL chanting made me have a panic attack😂

The answer to "name 3 of their songs" is "Another Brick in the Wall, Parts 1 to 3".

The Wall is actually considered a Rock Opera..similar to The Who's Tommy.

“I need to calm down.” *me nodding emphatically* I love this film, and The Wall album is my favorite Pink Floyd album. I always recommend you’ve at least listened to this album (a concept album/rock opera,) before watching the film. The story is semi-autobiographical, (à la Roger Waters,) but the subject matter does go far beyond that-Especially in terms of being very antifascist, (which Waters is explicitly.) I definitely recommend The Who’s Quadrophenia as well, (it’s also very straightforward as far as these rock-opera adaptations are concerned.)

I didn't think I would enjoy this take on the film. But, you really picked it apart anf actually deciphered it in the way I believe that it should be interpreted. Always with RW, his writing and lyrics are really only meant to provoke and move you. Please listen to 'Amused to Death' by Roger Waters
