the opening scene of 7th episode, with Erik Estrada (from CHiPs), is very similar to that of the villain's introduction in the 1966 film "the good, the bad and the ugly". in second season Norm will be saved by Betty, who sends him away from Vault 33 to find a replacement for the water chip, he will want to be accompanied by Chet and along the way two other companions will be added: Thaddeus and the chicken-loving doctor/charlatan 😄

I love how differently the story would have gone if the snake oil salesman wasn't ignored earlier in the show. I think it's significant to Maximus's future arc that he says his reason for joining the Brotherhood was to hurt the people who hurt him. But will he just focus on vengeance against Hank or going after VaultTec? Also VaultTec is just a couple of decades away from opening the vaults which sounds to me like there's a war on the horizon that I think Maximus will lead the Brotherhood in.

Vaults in Fallout are always a place of exploration and discovery to find out about what crazy experiments they did there. That's what makes Vault 4's writing brilliant. Every fan immediately comes to conclusions, and even non fans come to that conclusion with the sign "Test Subjects". Then at the end, they just flip it completely on its head; this vault is actually good filled with good people, as they are the results of the horrific experiments and all the scientists are long gone. The drug given could be Hydra, which is used to heal crippled limbs (Fallout New Vegas only?). Since the snake oil salesman was threatened at gunpoint, he might have chosen to "spice it up a little". If you're playing Fallout4, pay attention to a certain Major's story, as there *may* be a weak connection there.

The Ghoul's family wouldn't be in Vault 31. That vault was for lower management. Barb was high enough up the food chain, that she had Hank picking up her dry cleaning.

The"President's" name is Sorrel Booker, he was a fat man that wears a white suit and a white bowtie. Back in the early 80's, there was a little TV show, called "The Dukes of Hazzard. On the show, the man that runs Hazzard, was Boss Hogg. He was a fat man that wears a white suit and a white bowtie. Oh, yeah ............. the actor that played Boss Hogg was .............. "I'll give you two out of three on that front". My take on that scene in the end is that the line describes himself. He's strong, he's ugly, but by shooting the guy he just lost his dignity, and it took 200+ years to realize that. That's approved character writing in my book.

Kate knew the score, she’s just putting on a brave face. Doc was loving with a death sentence, and she’s letting him live the time he has left as himself, instead of as a miserable invalid. It’s a bit enabling, but also, can you blame her?

Regarding keeping Rose alive, it seems implied Rose and Moldaver were more than just friends. Rose is being kept in a room on top of the hills, with a missing wall that reveals a spectacular view of destroyed LA. I think Moldaver just wanted Rose to see the lights come on. She even delays turning them on, until after dark, despite an ongoing battle. She likely has kept Rose alive a long time for that moment. But 5 minutes before it happens, Rose's own daughter shoots her in the head, not knowing any of that. We love Fallout but it hates us.
@elvisibra22 сағат бұрын
No Fallout does not hate you, you are just destroying yourself with head canons. Moldaver is over 50 in flashback, Rose is not even 30. In ep 1 Moldaver didn't care about lives of Rose's children, and in the end lied by omission to Lucy manipulating her. Also only "romance-drama" would leave romance as "unrevealed plot point" for next season, cause romance carries the story of the genre, but not always, as in case when both charactees are DEAD thus potential of "unrevealed romance" would have zero impact on further story, additionally Fallout is NOT romance and that combined with both characters dead means: if there was a romance, it would be confirmed in s1 (flashback would include writen/visual exposition and confirmation, stuff like doing what ONLY couples do, kisses and/or similar)..

Lee should watch the Criterion Crumb edition and hear the two commentary tracks. It will fill in and explain events, Crumb's place and Artistic contributions to American Pop culture, family history, mental illness and concepts that will be missed without commentary explanation. Crumb is alive and well and has given many interviews from France. Crumb is also a musician too and performs concerts with a band. No matter how Weird and Ugly the Art looks, or Twisted the story telling gets. Crumb always tell us the Truth about the Human Condition. Rene Magritte once wrote, " Just because the Sun sometimes illuminates an Ugly World, does not mean you should shun the Sun at all times."

This cast and the effort put into these characters made for a stellar movie. Everyone felt like they belonged in Tombstone. That's brilliant work. Val Kilmer is one of the most underappreciated actors of his generation to my mind. He deserved an Oscar for a perfect performance in Tombstone alone. He is just amazing. He has done roles from silly (Top Secret and, to a lesser extent, Real Genius) to serious (Doc Holliday here and Jim Morrison in The Doors)and a variety in between such as Iceman in Top Gun and Simon Templar/The Saint in the movie The Saint (not a great movie, but a great role to show his chameleon skills). And again the rule of Michael Biehn remains true: if he has a mustache, he's the villain, like here and The Abyss. If he's clean shaven, he's a hero, like Terminator and Aliens. 😀 The only exception I've seen was on The Mandolorian. 😛

Actually Ringo is listed as suicide, but looks like homicide. Although it was a couple years later, some believe Doc did sneak back to face Ringo. That's why he was making it look like a suicide. -to align with the legend.

Wyatt Earp was a law man in Dodge City Kansas before all of this. He was just as they describe. Dodge City was a jumping off point for almost every person during that time period, heading west. Therefore, Wyatt ended up running into everyone as they passed by, then he went and caught up to the bad ones.

Tombstone still keeps their "Old Town" preserved (most of the shops are gift shops now). The Crystal Palace, the Oriental and Big Nosed Kate's saloons are still there in operation. A scheduled reenactment of the OK corral fight happens in the original alley that it happened. A little over an hour drive southeast of Tucson.
