As a veteran counselor of many, MANY summers at camp I can attest that there's something both eerie and sad to be standing in the middle of an abandoned summer camp. The opening shots of the deserted camp with brief soundbites of happier times in the background is truly effective.

he was just humoring his insane mom. i feel like people assume this movie is terrible and everything weird in it must be a mistake, but the only actual bad acting i remember is the old man in the "Not you Meg!" scene. if you pay attention to ricky at all in the first scene with his mom, he's reacting to everything she says or does like he knows she has a few screws loose and he's just trying to get out the door asap without setting her off. she's supposed to come off extremely weird, and his responses to her are wooden because his character is just playing along and going through the motions

@83shadow3
@83shadow3 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly as far as I'm concerned the Aunt caused it all to happen. Because if she got Peter the help that he needed. Instead of making him basically become his dead sister. Obviously all of what happened could have been avoided. So Peter is the most tragic victim of all. Because of the atctions his aunt took he ended up completely losing his mind altogether. Wich could have been avoided. But as you but it she was a not right in the head.

In the last scene "Angela" is not quite herself in fact it was an unnamed male actor wearing a special porcelain mask, it looked pretty good for time in very creepy way. They are set in a alt universe but the are fun so give them a shot.

So glad you watched this movie. This has a pretty big cult following because the ending is so unique. Must do The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) for this month!

Love the reaction videos. But this time around at the very end, she has that "I can't believe you had me watch this and I'm calling a lawyer in the morning" expression. ROFLMAO!

I love this series of movies. I have part 1 and 2 on Blu ray. Probably the most shocking ending to any horror movie. The second is way more of a comedy. Felissa Rose is awesome.

I have seen behind the scenes and making of this movie and the characters who played Kenny, Billy, Meg, Judy were all saying how hard it was to play the bad guys but it was good to see how well they all got along off set and the fun they had.

Such a bizarre and fun classic 80s slasher! It's hilarious and just a good time. So happy You, Me, & The Movies is giving it a watch! The opening credits scene is the camp in the aftermath of what went down, you will hear sounds and dialogue of happier times. Then the movie goes back to show what transpired. Quick fun fact, the actor who played the cop shaved off his real moustache when he was done with his scenes, only to be called back for additional shots and had his moustache replaced with electrical tape. Look closely lol

"Angelia" mom didn't want her to do the murders so it was really Ricky's hands that are shown. That older black chef is James Earl Jones' brother - aka Darth Vader

This film is all round hilarious without even trying to be. And Mel looks like Sid James from the Carry On films, with the voice of a mobster.

I first saw this at a friend's house when it was first released on video cassette. I think my favorite kill was the curling iron scene. In my opinion, the most memorable, and probably the most fitting, since Judy was so promiscuous. Angela got her right where it hurt the most.

"Eat shit and live" is an all-time great comeback. It feels like the filmmakers realized very late how obvious it was that Angela was the killer so they added Ricky saying they'll get even, and then Ricky's actor in a wig right before Judy's death. I'm so glad you watched this, such a strange movie that would probably have been forgotten with time if not for that ending

I did go to Summer Camp and they fairly nailed the over all feeling and social aspects of it. That's mostly why I like the movie so much. The kills were above average for such a low-budget flick. Angela's creepy dead-eye stare was very effective. My favorite kill is the boil, although, we don't know that he died. He definitely deserved his fate more than anyone else in the movie. The runner up is the arrow through the neck. I didn't see that coming and was a fantastically surprising effect. There were no "oh noes" in this review. ;) I guess the movie didn't bring forward any real threatening situations enough to warrant an "oh no."

if you pay attention, it is implied if not outright stated that a number of campers have pulled out, in other words, they left. so when they say there are only 25 left, they are saying the rest of the campers have withdrawn/left camp to go home. even as a kid, I understood this was what they were saying. Also, there was supposed to be a mystery as to who was the killer, it was being implied that it was Ricky. His quick to anger, always coming to Angela's defense, his mother telling him to take care of her, all of it was supposed to point to him as the potential killer.
