That's what you think. He is a typical anxious avoidant - their perception of themselves is completely different from what we see and the insecurities stem from childhood. You can see as the date progressed, he started coming hotter and heavier. As he said he never had a serious relationship and if someone likes him, he's just got to get away thinking what's wrong with them for liking him. He simply most likely self-sabotages a lot. While they are good people and friends, they really not a good partners unless they work on themselves.

Totally!! O think that's why he was acting so spazzy. He probably got freaked out that he experienced love at first sight (and energy) and didn't know what to do about it, which totally makes sense!! These 2 are supposed to be life partners for sure!!

Oh my gosh such a cute couple! He basically turned into a golden retriever without realizing it, lol. Just wagging his tail through the entire thing. They look like they're supposed to be married. Their both so cute and funny! Clearly, her mellow can tame his spazzy energy. It looks like he was so shocked/ thrown off by how attracted to her he was. I bet if they keep with each other, he'll get more comfortable and calm down. They're energy pinged off of each other so well!! Ugh, out of all of the First Dates, UK, Ausie, US.... these 2 make my top 5 cutest couples list 100%

Sam is boyfriend material goals! He's adorable, super cute, ever smiling with a positive attitude, he has a playful side to him, which ensures the fun, he's clever and humble, kind and doesn't seem to go after superficial things but to be someone able to emotionally support his partner, plus he seems sensitive and a hard worker ready to do what it takes, also a little insecure and quirky, which are attractive traits cause they mean he's not afraid to show his feelings and his human side. He also seems wise enough to look for the right things in a woman.These are much more important characteristics and values than money, success (whatever you think that is), muscles, being over confident or owning things. Any woman would be lucky to date him and i wish him all the great things that he deserves in love, be it with Rachael (lovely as well) or someone else.

I dated a guy who was a lot like Sam! Even looked a bit like him, just a taller version. Nice guys are the best! We were both in the military. We dated for almost a year. He had a really fantastic opportunity to advance his career. If he took it, he would have to relocate, never to return to where we were when we met. Not in a professional capacity, anyway. We both had time to prepare ourselves to break up. It was 4 months; it was still very painful. He even asked me to marry him which would mean either being alone most of the time or leaving my career. I had worked so hard to build it. *sigh*

@@venkatsunderam7427 Nah. I'm good. I stopped dating at all in 2012. Life became better immediately. I have the career of my dreams. Helping other people is better than dating, it makes me feel happy to help others, gives life meaning.
