The Israeli military says it found secret Hamas documents that show that the group is planning to expand out of Gaza and build bases in Turkey. The Israeli Defence Forces say that Hamas wants to use bases in Turkey to launch assassination operations against Mossad agents. The IDF has not confirmed whether Hamas has already established bases in Turkey, but the report comes just a day after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that 1,000 Hamas members are being treated in his country's hospitals. Erdogan's statement was almost immediately retracted, but could the news of Hamas bases have anything to do with what the Turkish president said?
