Firuze Defies Hürrem | Magnificent Century "SULEIMAN CALLED OUT FOR ME, NOT YOU"

The rivalling between Sultana Hürrem and Firuze continues at full steam. Firuze believes that Sultana Hürrem loves Suleiman and tries to get Hürrem keep Hürrem away from Suleiman. She decides taking Thursday Night, which belongs to the chief consort, away from Hürrem at first.
Suleiman goes hunting with his princes. Meanwhile, he tells Prince Mehmet about his dream that he gives clue about which prince he wants to give his throne.
Sultana Hürrem decides using Nigar to drive a wedge between Hatice and İbrahim. She sends İbrahim and Nigar to the Marble Mansion at the same time. Hürrem personally tells about this rendezvous to Hatice. Meanwhile, Hürrem gets an unexpected chance to have as hold over İbrahim.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

No. She might have died in childbirth. Lived a very meagre life. May be died much sooner . Nothing in a Polish village can compare to Royal medicine and obstetrics of an emperor's Harem of course. Leo might or might not be loyal. Nobody would be making soaps and films on her. No books written, no impact on history. People like Hurrem live a life that is adventure incarnate. They have luck and courage. She did get married, did bear children, was the top echelon of an empire. Became one of the most powerful women in history.😅

@@rayyanadeem2354ut her soul would’ve been much better. Her position of power required many ill-doings to be maintained. I don’t think most of the souls in that palace are in a good place. And it’s said her real fiancé in Rutenia was well-off, she could’ve lived a fairly comfortable life for those standards. Nothing is as precious as peace of mind and soul, and I don’t think she had it in the harem.

@BlueSwampyCraft she thrived in the harem. She changed centuries old traditions. She became one of the most powerful women in history. There have been many great persons in history and many have had blood on their hands. I am not judging whether she is good or evil. I am not saying her capture and enslavement was good. Just that she would have not been either famous or powerful. Maybe she would have been happier. Maybe not.

I've always loved this scene..for the first time HURREM is shown love ,compassion, caring , Empathy . She is being held & helped like the mother she always wanted . She never got that from Her mother in law and her own mother was killed. So to see her get that kind of love ,just brings tears to my eyes 😢..❤I LOVE THIS SHOW!! I LOVE THAT I FOUND IT ON NETFLIX IN 2017...

This scene really makes a point of her abandonment issues and Stockholm syndrome. I think one of the reasons why she fell in love with Süleyman was because she wanted a family again and saw in him the opportunity for that. So for her to come so close to losing him when Firuze almost got the Thursday night would make her both catastrophise about losing her children and remember her family. And then when Afife just comes and hugs her. Makes me tear up. She was the mother figure she desperately needed.

Hurrem wasn’t innocent nor was mahi but they both deserved better they were both captured as slaves loosing both their families and than being dragged all the way to a palace while you haven’t had a bath in days still wearing the same clothes of the day you watched your family,lover and village die than having to fight for you and your children’s lives just to be able to be given a fancy title a walk outside and your own room and a cheating unloyal sultan being a concubine and a favourite of the sultan really shouldn’t be glamorous or showed that way it’s all lies the harem is a battlefield.

Thank you for pointing that out. Other people failed to see to that this was the beginning and reason for Suleyman’s annoyance, irritation and indifference to Hurrem. Had she not been so obnoxious and defiant he would NEVER have given Firuze a second glance!!! That’s my belief and opinion. That is why I refuse to believe Suleyman “fell in love” with Firuze. I firmly believe he may have had genuine feelings for her but deep passionate and abiding L♥️VE? NOT!👎🏾 It was a rebound liaison in retaliation for Hurrem’s shenanigan’s and overbearing antics. I used to love Ibrahim and Hatice at the beginning of the series but they really amplify Hurrem's toxicity with their personalities later so I started to hate them. It seems so unfair that they get to have the love of their life and be faitnful to each other but they think they have the right and duty to mess it up for another couple who could be happy if none of that took place. Sultan already has all the heirs he needs and he loves Hurrem the most in the world. All of this other stuff was just for the series to drag and be dramatic.

It seems that Firuze did not get punished after Hurrem discovered who she was?? Is that correct? Although i did not watch the entire drama it seems that Suleiman always punished Hurrem for everything she did and not the other sultanas. Where was this great love of his?? Whats with the love letter he wrote to furize and the way he looked at her when they were sitting onthe sofa outside. I understand from watching a lot of chinese historical dramas more or less how the harems worked but have not seen one where he proclaimed great love but his actions towards hurrem was total opposite. Boy, that Firize character really disgusted me!
