Hey Fishaholic’s, I hope you all enjoyed this episode!!! It might get repetitive in the beginning of the video but skip to the part when I start throwing the popper at 25:11 and you might like that!! Episode 3 I find some much bigger fish!! Tight Lines until next time!! 🤙🏻

Thanks so much for always watching despite your success. It's all about putting the puzzle together. I've been fishing for striped bass most of my life so I speak their language and I know where to find them. Even in areas I've never been. You just have to pass that threshold of time out there in your local areas to master what the fish are doing.

Hey Rich, great video! Thanks for coming up to my home waters and show casing the terrific striped bass fishery we have in New Brunswick. The reason for the regulation of only single barbless circle hook is because of the potential by catch of trout and salmon. FYI the Saint John River also has a healthy population (different regulations) , though fewer than the Miramichi, they are much bigger on average. My question: I noticed you putting Pro Cure on your swimbaits. What is your favorite flavor for stripers?

I didn't realize stripers went that far north. Pretty interesting to see the smaller ones I wonder if they spawn up that far.
@FishAholicTV
@FishAholicTV Ай бұрын
Yeah they do spawn up there. I think i mentioned it in this video but on average they live longer but do not grow as large as the Hudson, Delaware, and Chesapeake stock of fish. But with the ocean temps warming that is changing and more larger fish are being caught! in the next Canada episode I catch them up to 38" and with that light travel rod in the surf!

Great to see you in our region. There are lots of stripers all over the southern gulf of St. Lawrence region. Note that the use of single barbless hooks is mandatory when using lures, bait and fly fishing in tidal waters. Treble hooks are not allowed.

Rich, life time Florida Boy, but married a Canadian from the Maritimes, Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) to be exact. I have an ocean front home there in Inverness NS and have not yet to fish it. Just finished the home last year. I have gone out at night with lights to see all the lobster, baby fluke and so forth, that was fun. What's weird is not a soul up there fishes in the Gulf of St. Laurence except commercial guys. Most everyone fly fish the river systems. I have been wanting to explore both opportunities. The house is 3400 square on the ocean, you can have your own room and shower enough for 4 people in one section of the house. Great place to bring the new wife. You in?

Probably a dark matter psychedelic spinning rod bit.ly/3szSNKD paired with a 4000 BGMQ bit.ly/3V2SzYj I also have my own line of rods with dark matter if you want something that is a little longer to give you a little more casting range you can check out the 7'6" medium fast fishaholic rod bit.ly/3xGZVVZ I would spool the reel with 15lb braid and you would be good to go.

I can cast and fish both ways. But I cast further like a right handed person and I grew up fishing with left handed equipment because my dad is left handed. So when it comes to working lures I prefer the rod in my left hand. I throw with my right.

@gophernowwarrior 2 күн бұрын
@FishAholicTV exact same. Right throw, bat, hockey shot....never understood why holding the pole with a left hand is a lefty. I don't hold a bat or hockey stick at the end with my right hand. #shrugs
