In this episode of BlacktipH, I go fishing for Baby Sharks with my buddy Capt. Jamie from Fin & Fly Fishing Charters out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Once anchored, we tossed out our baits and waited for the first bite. We were using Spanish Mackerel chunks for bait. My fishing rod goes within five minutes, and it was a solid redfish! While I was fighting the redfish, Jamie hooked up to the first baby shark of the day, a blacknose shark. Once we caught a few fish, the baby sharks were everywhere! We were literary catching baby sharks every five minutes; it was nonstop! While fishing for the baby sharks, I hooked something much bigger! It turned out to be a big bull redfish (red drum). In total, we caught over 20 baby sharks and two redfish. We decided to change our fishing spot and search for a tripletail fish. We pulled up to a buoy and started fishing. I dropped down a live shrimp on a jig, and within a few seconds, I hooked a keeper tripletail! I managed to catch two tripletail and a big sheepshead on that buoy before heading back to the dock. We accomplished our goal today of catching baby sharks!
