Hi Dom, just a tip to look after your jig rods… wrap the split but with some electrical tape where they sit in the rod holder. You’ll rub through the gel coat otherwise. Keep up the great videos of Perth fishing. @fishtuckerman

Lots of bom bom and curry Dom Merry Christmas to you and all your family cannot get out catch a feed of King george whiting due to lots of wind in Melbourne however last trip i got 2 kgw over 50 cm Pb am stoked good luck Phil

That's amazing Dom, caught a 52cm KG the other day and the fillets are massive one kg feeds 2 ppl. That catch will feed the family f ages

You do realise that is exactly what drives the size of a fish down right? People thinking they're too good and only keeping large specimens removes the genes from the gene pool, enough time and people doing it = smaller growth potential. Tasmania are currently in crisis with their flathead due to this exact reason. Nothing wrong with taking big fish but "only" taking big fish is irresponsible and the very reason "back in my day they were bigger" is such a common statement, don't ruin it for everyone else.

Your new "sinker" is a bottom bouncing Kabura lure. The two hooks and the sinker are not designed to be used independently. In less windy conditions just put the baited Kabura on on rod and let it bottom bounce. I use them in the UK for cod but those lovely KG's will grab it and you may find it picks out the larger ones.

What an amazing session in very tough conditions….what magnificent fish. Those whiting were as big as some of the Pike/Snook you use to catch. If I ever wander across the Nullarbor I am going to put my nose to the wind and join you in one of those cook ups……delicious.
