A relatively short and sweet episode for a short and sweet February. In this episode we give a proper welcome to the White Musselcracker (aka Brusher). Even though this mission fell just outside their prime season we still managed to find some decent specimens, but it is tough work. Being such beautiful and strong fighting fish it's no surprised that they are one of the four most targeted species in the Algoa Bay area. This episode is very fact-filled. Not only do we do a "creature feature" on saddlebacks (aka armadillos) but we also talk about the family of fish called Sparids, how Musselcrackers breed, how they age and what we know about their conservation status.
