The smoke situation has been the same here! With the drought and now some record high August temperatures (102 degrees in some parts of the country, and it's winter) bushfire season has come early :( great catfish!

Thems fancy cans with pull tabs. I have to stab and pry my cans open with an old pair of scissors (more fun than a can opener). It works out, I cut half way around and so can fold it up and down like a lid.

Nice vid! I recently had a run in with a 30 lb+ (estimated) carp while bass fishing and got some great footage of the encounter. It was interesting behavior but I believe that fish was signaling danger to other carp in the area. I couldn't catch it on that video, but I watched another carp "play dead" in the grass that was equal size or bigger. Pretty neat stuff.

I used to live on the Ohio river and never fished for carp there because the current seemed so intimidating.

I fish it all day with my buddy I’m brand new this season it’s INSANE!!!!! They call us the carp boys and I think it’s so funny 🤣 they all fish to eat and me and my buddy fish for fun it’s cool because I have no idea what I’m doing besides a 7 twist knot thing but I guess their good fish or something because everyone goes crazy. Late night pointless spam because this video is sick!!!!

,Tom thank you for all the time you put into to your videos. I am learning a great deal. yesterday I cut up wine corks, with a very sharp knife (HAVALON) cut them like butter. after doing that I found your video on the same thing. wife thought i was nuts, then showed her your video. He is nuts too, If you buy your sinker I would like to send you a bunch as a thank you. Make stuff for guide son just as a hobby 100s of pounds of lead and a bunch of molds Thanks from Buckeye AZ

Just in my experience fishing the Missouri river and a couple of the creeks that flow into it, I rarely if ever catch carp with any kind of corn related bait. For some reason, the majority of carp I catch out there are always with night crawlers. I use the top half of a crawler, not a whole one, just to see what's in the area and usually if I get slammed it's either a big carp or drum. I have no idea why this is.

That's the thing about fishing with night crawlers, everything likes them so you never know what you might catch.

Yep, they were carp. Not sure if Redfish jump or not. We don't have them around here.

i use your pack bait, sometimes it seems to out off when casting. whats wrong?

A few possibilities come to mind. 1. Using bait right after you make it. Needs 10-15 min to set up. 2. Not packing tight enough. 3. Casting too hard. Good luck!

Have you ever experimented with your fishing line here in Ohio I have better luck with Stren Low Vision green. I have used braided lines as my main line before and I have had better luck when I switched it

I use both braid and mono, I don't notice a difference.
