Definitely was a real "Butterfingers" of a day. That Chronarch D5/Waterloo Phantom combo was a really nice rig, too. And then, just a bit later, you almost lost a 2nd rig swinging for a hookset on that stringray; nice save ! It's having those kind of days that make us appreciate the really great days. I still fish with the Penn 4500SS spinning reel I found near Seawolf Park 20 years ago (the rod was broken). Hopefully yours will find a good new home. 😆😂🤣😭🤠

That has happened to me a couple times in my fishing, one time I was fishing with my buddy Claude presta in my brother's a striper pulled one Rod's out of the rod holder off the back I was able to dive in and retrieve the rod and land the fish 8 lb striper. Another time I was fishing off the pier at lake tawakoni night fishing for had about a 10-inch live shad on my hook 🪝 person I was fishing with looked at me like no way. Anyway I picked up a cast net to go try to catch some more bait about that time my rod bent over in the Bell started ding-a-ling-a-ling in the ride was jerking and was jerk off the pier about the same time I do have in the water and retrieve the rod landed my PB catfish 78 lb blue 💙 we measured her and weighed her and let her go back to make babies! This is your pops boy one time I was the great white fisherman, now you are boy he's not lost any dignity it happens to the best of us love you man
