It’s Graeme at his best...bobbing about in an old boat off the South Devon coast, trying to find out what is the best method to catch a fish. As well as the fabulous scenery he catches a pile of fish using both light and medium rods, over a reef area he has never even been to before...No echo sounder to tell the depth...no GPS to give him the magic mark....just an old school hunch as to where to drop the anchor..If you like your Ocean fishing, then this could be the one for you....Entertainment....great scenery....and plenty of fish action....It was indeed..a "Totally Awesome Fishing Trip ".

Beer, my favourite, the local cider is pretty good too, started boat fishing here in 1960! Love the whole area of East Devon, my parents had a place in Sidmouth just down the road. Incidentally Seaton, which is the next stop eastward had some lovely mullet fishing in the river. Bill

Hi Bill - it's a great area! My Gran had a house in Sidmouth when I was in my late Teens & I used to enjoy staying there & fishing. The house was always promised to me but my father sold it - always regretted that!

@@trampster7306 Hi so you know about the lost Sid river where it just goes into the shingle bank? Never seen that anywhere else! I used to catch small brown trout from the river and bass from Jacob's Ladder beach Bill

Certainly is...I look forward to next Spring and maybe trying for a Plaice or two...bit of a drive for me,but I've had 3 trips down there already. i must check out Teignmouth apparently they also do self drives for the Bass. I first started fishing in Teignmouth,exactly 60 years ago !!...Scary stuff.

@@TAFishing I have not been down there much this year unfortunately so will try to make up for it next year, you were fishing in about 60 foot of water there and yes I think a shark is a possibility as I have had some unstoppable runs on the conger baits

I live in San Antonio, Tx and I don't get to have enough time to enjoy fishing like you do since I was in school getting my Associates Degree in Applied Science to knowledge myself as an electrician but thank god I have you to make your beautiful videos to keep me going. I just graduated in December of 2020 and also purchased a 17'0 boat for fishing and fun with the family. I am looking forward to doing some fishing soon. Stay in good health my friend so we can keep up to date with your fishing adventures brother.

Saved this video for watching Sunday with three videos in a week your spoiling us. Nice background scenery and great fishing and so glad Smith is back on form. How can anyone dislike your videos, I put it down to jealousy, you catch, they can't or have no interest in fishing in the first place.

That was a really great watch. Seen most of your Videos and that's one of the best for me. Apparently the area has stopped Scallop dredging and the seabed is recovering,followed by the various fish species.Certainly seems to be working.

That was good fishing..a fine wild rough ground conger.!.nearly as good as a fine shore caught conger!...much better than those supermarket wreck fishers congers....still waiting for that big cousin of the porbeagle...think like a super shark!... present a proper offering, in the right location...an maybe the shark gods will smile upon you....
