Great project....really threw me when you went reel first into the tube!. I’m making same for my Jeep ,but 6’ for my UL spinning gear...and hiking poles.

Hey Warren. I did that just in case of quick stops with the car I didn't wan the rod tips to slide up and break. I'm not sure if that is the correct way to do it, but that's what made sense to me. lol.

Now lower your car, so it's easier to load and unload. It will also be faster, so you can get to fishing in fewer minutes. Coilovers = more fishing

Haha great vid!...it looks massive on the golf!...i was wondering what you were going to do with a tube that large..figured you carry alot of rods with you....i personally probably would have went with a 2 or 3 inch and toss a rod or 2 in the tube without the reels attached. Anyhow, how is it holding up?

Nice, but bolting and unbolting every time you need the car, you will need something of a quick on off interlocking system, with a little imagination and ingenuity and a little hardware you'll have it.

I got them on Amazon. Made by a company called Reese. I think they are conduit covers if I'm not mistaken

Good idea, I like the "in lot" cutting and install (I need to try that sometime). What rack system is installed on car ?

Hahaha Thanks. That cart made a pretty useful work station considering I could never have gotten that pipe inside my car. It's a Yakima roof rack. I just had it installed a couple weeks ago. I had one on my previous vehicle but of course they have updated the system and there was no way to transfer it. None the less it works great and is super sturdy.

Great question! The conduit kit (brackets and pvc endcaps) was $55. The PVC pipe I think was $15. Total build is about 65/70 dollars if you already have the tools (saw, wrench, and screwdriver).

Reagan Mason more like Reese kit-$60 PVC - $30and he left out the foam for the front cap, spray paint, decals and mini pad lock, another $50 $140 later
